[Throwback 2022] “Perth Tanapon” stars as “Boang” in the very first movie of his career!
🖤: “Normally, I've mostly gotten roles that are kind of bright and fresh in high school settings. You know, just ordinary light fighting, maybe for one or two takes and then they call cut. But in this project, there were continuous action sequences, and I was the only one fighting against seven people all by myself. It was extremely difficult.”
💬: How was it working with Bas?
🖤: “P'Bas is honestly someone who reacts and passes emotional energy back and forth so well. Once he gets into character, he truly becomes Kheng. When I looked at him, I genuinely saw Kheng right there, and our back-and-forth dialogue exchange felt so natural. P’Bas is one of the acting partners I’ve worked with where I feel like we’re the most in sync. Take the fight scenes, for example, he would know the cues right along with me, like what moves we needed to execute and how to dodge. Or during romantic scenes, like feeding each other or things like that, we built off each other's cues so well. P'Bas sent those emotional cues over so naturally, without any overthinking involved, making it really fun to work on.”
💬: How was it working with P’Poj?
🖤: “Working with P'Poj was great because P'Poj was constantly helping me, especially with speaking lines. During my very first few takes, I struggled with my delivery because my voice lacked power and presence. P'Poj would step in to brief me before every single scene. Simply put, before entering a scene, P'Poj would explain to us first how the character feels and bring us the script to read, helping us understand what the character is going through right now and what their emotional background was before reaching this scene. P'Poj kept coming in to give us direction the entire time, which made working with him feel so smooth and fun. I honestly didn't expect P'Poj to direct action scenes on this scale. But actually, I’d already seen his work in 18 Rain and Bangkok Love Story.”
💬 What about the movie’s soundtrack?
🖤: “Actually, there are three songs in the movie. The first song is sung by P’Songkran, the second one is sung by me, and there’s a third song sung by P’Bas. The person who wrote the song is P’Vespa. Actually, I’ve followed his work since I was a kid, so when I finally got the chance to work with him for real, I felt really happy and really excited. In the movie, the song เหตุผลที่ฉันไม่กลับา is a song that conveys the feelings of…”(The video cuts off here)
