Interestingly, Trump has already tried this. The US has exhausted every possible sanction, but none of them could hurt China. Lately, they've had no choice but to be polite.
The whole world has noticed. China is already on equal footing with the United States. So where is Japan? Is it collapsed on the side of the road, unable to get back up?
@gorochan564@zsy76055789@ELFINE001 Your Japanese government has deceived you out of national pride. Evidence of Japanese war crimes can be found all over the world. If you don't want to acknowledge it, that's fine. Japan is already in decline, while China has risen. There is no need to rush to deal with Japan.
Because the former Japanese government committed brutal atrocities against many countries in Asia, the descendants shouldn't have to bear that responsibility. However, your government keeps visiting and honoring war criminals convicted of fascist crimes against humanity. Since it represents the nation, it is completely understandable why victimized countries resent this government, and by extension, the country itself.
How do we know you are not faking it? Acting pathetic and then launching an invasion anyway.
Looking at it the other way around, why doesn't anyone resent Germany? Because they took responsibility for their mistakes and apologized on their knees.
@8Dt59FEDFSDWyZ4 The Axis powers and World War II fascism finally got knocked down so hard they couldn't get back up, and now Japan is just sitting over there sulking by itself. It's hilarious.
Germany, as a fascist Axis power, has apologized and acknowledged this evil history, which is why people have forgiven them. Japan has not. Japan still visits Yasukuni Shrine, which houses numerous war criminals convicted by an international tribunal.
That's right. China has long been cast in the role of the victim, but not for much longer. Because from China's perspective today, Japan is far too weak to pose any real threat. You wouldn't actually turn red in the face and lose your temper over a kitten you can casually discipline.
Time is on China's side.
@UsedTrifles@SaifulA77188378@D162Michele Most Japanese people don't even know ten percent of Chinese characters. Do you expect an illiterate person to turn around and teach a university professor? That is a completely absurd notion.
@JonesGashner@joequant Artificial intelligence will replace humans as a labor force. The only countries that need to worry about population are those without AI technology, which basically means every country except China and the United States.
There are six million ethnic Mongols in China. They are the descendants of the Mongols who expanded into Europe and ruled Poland back in the day.
These individuals are all Chinese citizens. Can I say that the ancestors of some Chinese citizens once ruled Europe?
Why give up the vast Eurasian landmass to go after the Japanese archipelago? It doesn't make much sense, does it?
@tantoelite Because the native population in Japan is declining so rapidly and there is such a severe labor shortage, what else can they do? If they don't bring in immigrants, Japan will likely have died out from population shrinkage well before World War III.
First, Chinese civilization from its very inception was never a single Han Chinese state; it was already multiethnic at birth.
Furthermore, regardless of how the rulers changed over time, All former rulers and their descendants have since integrated into modern China and become Chinese citizens.
We even joke internally, saying you must have been Manchu nobility back in the Qing Dynasty. We just discuss these things like a family, and we've never felt like we aren't part of the same country.
Consequently, contemporary China is naturally the inheritor of all those previous dynasties.
Because the cost-performance ratio wasn't there. During the Mongol period, China's territory extended as far as Poland and Hungary in Europe. With so much land available on the mainland to expand our borders, why bother pursuing a desolate little island?
Furthermore, the Mongols eventually integrated into China, becoming one of its ethnic groups. Only the rulers changed, but the ethnic composition of the nation didn't suffer a break; it remained the same group of people. Their languages and cultures fused together instead of being wiped out.
Over 200 years ago, the Qing dynasty achieved military conquest over Xinjiang and Tibet. Today, all the Manchu people who ruled the Qing have integrated and become Chinese citizens, making China naturally the legitimate ruler of Xinjiang and Tibet.
If you have doubts about this, it is equivalent to questioning the sovereignty of Americans over the American continent. Yet the entire world acknowledges that the Americas belong to the Americans, not the Native Americans.
@nihonjin42@superwangbadan Some nations were powerful for two thousand years, and only fell behind in the last century, only to be mocked. Meanwhile, some monkeys spent two thousand years climbing trees and have barely been fed for a hundred years before they start mocking humans.
Let's not dwell on things from over seventy years ago. If we're going to play that game, a thousand years ago when you were still monkeys, China was already dominating the globe. Let's just look at the last twenty years: Japan has been in decline while China has grown richer and stronger.
@mithrayeogu Any reasonable person can see that the stronger you are in war, the bigger your territory gets. If Koreans were really that good at fighting, they wouldn't be living on this tiny Korean Peninsula
@Djdd339359@TANAKAKAKUEI513 During the Ming dynasty, China helped Korea repel Toyotomi Hideyoshi. Japan really was the common enemy all along, after all.
