every bit of evidence kinda points to "oh the devs are finally getting their shit together for things that have been mildly unintuitive for over a decade" like a progression rework and tutorials

@Golden__Dodo i noticed that not using dragon element is a way bigger deal with AT ark than normal ark, you get completely blocked from getting the chainblade burst things if you don't have dragon elem
other than that tip uhh, idk every weapon's got some kinda bullsh that can clear AT ark
