This veteran survived an IED in Iraq that killed his entire team. Burns over 40% of his body, face burned to the skull, lost his arm. Dozens of surgeries later, he’s a stand-up comedian who turns pain into laughter.
At the Louisville airport yesterday — exhausted after a show — a group of young girls pointed, whispered, gathered friends, and took pictures of him like he was a freak show.
He didn’t get angry. He’s at peace with his scars. But he’s heartbroken for what it teaches kids… and what it could do to someone who isn’t okay yet.
His message: “Raise your kids right, people.”
Then he prayed for those girls to grow into kind women who help others… “and if they don’t listen, Lord strike them down with lightning and send them to hell.” 😂
This man has every reason to be bitter. Instead, he’s inspiring us to do better.
As I’m heading to work this morning I see Tina (lady who makes my pizzas @ Pie Five) walking down Keller parkway. I pull over and ask if I can give her a ride. She smiles like always and gets in the car…. mind you Pie Five is about 2 miles away from where I picked her up… so we got talking as we drove. She expressed to me she started that job 7 months ago and walks 4 miles every day for work. I said to her… Wow, I know that’s hard on your body; that’s got to be exhausting. She giggled and said “Yah, but what can you do Greg? I need the job… life doesn’t stop. So I make it work. I used to have a bike, but it broke and don’t have another one”.
I dropped her off and said I’ll see you soon! I called Bianca Ballog immediately… pretty choked up about it… told her the story and she said “Greg, we are getting that lady a bike!” I told her…we are on the same page. 2 hours later she now has transportation. Her face when she saw the bike was more than words could express.
She said… I am so thankful and don’t know what to say. I told her… we may be getting this for you, but you have given more to me today than you know. I can not express enough… GET TO KNOW PEOPLE! Ask questions, ask about their struggles, ask what you can pray for. God has called us to serve and love your neighbor as you love yourself. If people truly truly truly truly understood that and did that a lot of the crap that is going on in this world wouldn’t be going on. There are people in need and they are in your own back yard. All you have to do is step out “Your Circle”

An 8-year-old girl was in her backyard playing when a stranger came from the woods and grabbed her, covered her mouth, and tried to pull her toward the trees.
Her 13-year-old brother, Owen Burns, was inside playing video games. He heard her scream, grabbed his slingshot, and fired twice hitting the attacker in the head
Police later found the suspect hiding near a gas station with a huge lump on his head
HELL YA!! This is my kind of story!!!
She's been at our shelter since 2013. Eleven years. Every person who met her said she was wonderful. Every person walked past her kennel and chose a younger dog. She stopped coming to the front of her kennel a few years ago. Stopped performing. Made a quiet peace with being where she was." Last Tuesday a veteran came in. He said — "I need a calm dog. I'm still learning how to be still myself." I showed him three dogs. He was putting his jacket on to leave. He stopped outside kennel seven. Luna looked at him from her bed. Didn't perform. Didn't come to the front. Just looked at him the way she looks at people when she decides they're worth seeing. He said — "Can I sit with her?" He sat on the concrete floor at her level. Not the bench. The floor. That was 11am. At 3pm I looked in. He was still there. Her white muzzle was in his hand. Their breathing had synchronized. At 3:15 he came to the front desk and said — "I'd like to take her home. I think we need each other." I excused myself to the back room and sat on an overturned bucket and cried for a long time. He texted me yesterday — "First time I've slept through the night in three years. I think she was saving that for me." She was. Eleven years of saving it. For one Tuesday. For him. Drop a ❤️ for Luna. Share this for every senior dog still waiting for their Tuesday. They're saving everything they have for the right person to walk through that door.
HERO: Officer Ralph Mondesir is part of the Gwinnett County Police Department in Georgia.
One afternoon, he was sitting in his patrol car finishing paperwork when someone ran up to him for help. They told him an 18-month-old baby wasn’t breathing. Mondesir quickly got out of his car and ran to the child. He picked the baby up and started CPR.
An off-duty nurse stepped in to give rescue breaths while Mondesir pressed on the boy’s chest. They worked side by side for seven long minutes.
At first, the baby didn’t move, but then his pulse came back and he started breathing again. Paramedics arrived soon after and rushed him to the hospital. Doctors said the baby survived because of the fast work of Officer Mondesir and the nurse.
Mondesir said, “I got a little emotional towards the end. I just did what I was trained to do, and I will always keep doing it no matter what.”
He truly is a hero
Prayers For Carla Moore And Family: This is one of the hardest things I have to say. My son Omarion was killed yesterday. I don’t have many details and the military is helping through this difficult time. Please keep my girls and me in your prayers. I don’t know why but I’m so thankful to have had 23 years with my son. I love you Omarion always 23 ♥️
On my way home this afternoon, I spotted an elderly white woman lying on the sidewalk at the corner of Peoria and 49th Street, while a young Asian woman was trying to talk to her.
I quickly turned around and parked in the Burger Street parking lot just as another car arrived. I got out of my car at the same time as a young Black man.
We both checked her condition and saw that she had fallen backwards while using a walker, hitting her head on the concrete.
I said I would call for help, and the young Black man went to his car to get a soft jacket and gently placed it under her head to protect her from the scorching heat of the pavement (it was 38°C today). Soon, other kind people arrived.
A young white woman took an umbrella from her car to protect the woman's face from the sun, while another brought towels to place under her bare arms.
A young Hispanic employee from Burger Street came out with a bucket of fresh water and a cloth for her forehead.
Together—Black, White, Asian, and Hispanic—we all worked to help an elderly white woman who had fallen. This is the America I believe in and love: an America filled with compassion, kindness, and love, regardless of race, age, or gender
Twelve-year-old Xavier Taylor had a quiet habit of writing Bible verses on his baseball cap before games. On May 26, during warmups, an errant throw struck him in the neck. He collapsed and was airlifted to the hospital in critical condition. Six weeks later, he is still on a ventilator, fighting for his life.
Since the accident, support for Xavier has spread across the country. The “Bats Out for Xavier” movement began, with people placing baseball bats on their porches. His father has remained hopeful, and the family has shown incredible faith throughout this difficult time.
Xavier’s family asked the public to pray not only for him but also for the young player who threw the ball. In their latest update, they shared a powerful message: “Xave is alive. Our boy is alive, and we praise the Lord for that.” After more than a month in the hospital, Xavier continues to fight, surrounded by the love and prayers of his family and community.

My 7-year-old daughter spent all afternoon painting this and asked me, "Do you think people will like it?" 🥹❤️ I told her I'd let you decide. What do you think? 🎨
@QuantumGuard17 You have absolutely no idea how many Californians are hoping and praying that this criminal, Gavin Newsom, is investigated, indicted, prosecuted, and jailed! He has done nothing but harm the State of California, Californians, and the California way of life!
