VIDEO | “Darjeeling hills have been very severely affected by the cloudburst that took place yesterday. There was heavy downpour, torrential rains, lightning and heavy winds also that accompanied it. And as a result of this, the entire area is cut off. At least 20 people have lost their lives as of the current count. Maybe more people have lost their lives, and thousands of people have been affected because their houses have been destroyed, roads have been cut off,” says Rajya Sabha MP Harsh Vardhan Shringla on Darjeeling landslides.

He adds, ��I'm always contactable. I've already put out a tweet. I'll put out another Twitter post providing a number on which I can be contacted... I think it is important for the concerned authorities, whether it is the centre, the state, etc., to offer immediate assistance in any appropriate manner required.”

The nation thanks Prime Minister @narendramodi ji for initiating the next-generation GST reforms, which will come into effect from 22nd September - the commencement of Navratri - and will benefit every citizen;
In his address to the nation today, the PM highlighted the following:
GST reforms will accelerate India’s growth story;
This is significant step forward in the Aatmanirbhar Bharat campaign and marks the beginning of a GST Bachat Utsav (Savings Festival) across India;
Implementation of new GST reforms will leave only two tax slabs (5% and 18%);
Lower GST will make it easier for citizens to fulfill their dreams.
The essence of serving citizens is reflected clearly in the next-generation GST reforms
