Our annual Loud and Clear report is here ๐๐ถ In 2024, Spotify paid a record $10 billion to the music industry โ the most of any streaming platform. And, we're creating a music industry where discovery knows no borders, connecting artists with global fans. https://t.co/BxFOIgrlrn
Excited to have been named to Washington DCโs 500 Most Influential People Shaping Policy by @washingtonian. So incredibly proud of this recognition & I want to give a big shoutout and my profound thanks to the incredible Spotify government affairs team for making this possible.๐ฅณ
Really enjoyed this National Assembly roundtable and our discussion of the policy and industry collaboration needed to support K-Popโs long-term growth. At @SpotifyKR, weโre proud to help Korean creators reach global audiences, grow royalties, and build lasting careers. ๐ฐ๐ท
Loud & Clear 2025 is out, and one thing is clear: music now crosses borders faster than ever. Just two years after debuting, many artists see more than half their royalties from abroad, and artists generating $500K+ on Spotify come from 75 countries. https://t.co/K9K70Mqju1
Spotifyโs new AI policies help artists stay in control, protect the integrity of the creative ecosystem & give users transparency. While AI is evolving fast and weโll continue to roll out new policies, our priorities remain constant. https://t.co/GhNXySLfR4
Thank you @RepKatCammack for leading the charge to ensure free market choices with the #AppStoreFreedomAct. Congress can change the game for American consumers, creators, businesses + entrepreneurs. ๐ช๐บ๐ธ
This afternoon, Rep. Cammack introduced the App Store Freedom Act, a bill to promote competition and protect consumers. We must continue to hold Big Tech accountable and allow all players to enter the field without anti-competitive practices on major app store marketplaces. โฌ๏ธ

This just in: In a victory for consumers, artists, creators, and authors, Apple has approved Spotifyโs U.S. app update.
After nearly a decade, this will finally allow us to freely show clear pricing information and links to purchase, fostering transparency and choice for U.S. consumers. There is more work to do, but today represents a significant milestone for developers and entrepreneurs everywhere who want to build and compete on a more level playing field.
Fun thing last week: Joining @eldsjal and @DusteeJenkins in Brussels for discussions with the new EU Commissioners on how streaming helps artists and fans connect, the importance of competition, and more. Also, Mentissa is amazing! ๐ค
Great couple of days in Brussels meeting with the new Commissioners and discussing how we best support tech innovation and scale up the next generation of start ups. Having a strong DMA that unlocks competition is going to be critical to the future of digital companies around the world.
Had a constructive initial exchange with @Spotify founder and CEO, @eldsjal today.
Europe has a vibrant and sustainable music scene.
And digital platforms can help artists to reach wider, global audiences.๐ข
Our discussion also touched upon other subjects that matter to European artists and musicians, including:
๐นfair remuneration,
๐นthe role of algorithms in promoting artists,
๐นthe discoverability of European content,
๐นand our shared goals of increasing visibility for European talent - especially young and emerging artists.
Looking forward to keeping the conversation going.

I had a great time meeting with honored officials and policymakers in Delhi on behalf of @Spotify. India is a beautiful country rich in culture and history, and it was an honor to share how @spotifyindia is helping to amplify that across the globe!
Who doesn't want a fair chance when they compete? (Just ask Jordan Chiles) But when it comes to the internet, fair competition is the exception not the rule. And not everyone plays by the rules.๐Weโve updated our site on whatโs happening in competitionย - https://t.co/msAc6Rnnlq
If Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart was a properly recognized delegation, it would find itself ahead of Germany, Ireland, South Africa, Japan, Switzerland and so many others. ๐ช ๐ https://t.co/rVdnwmeB4Z
Earlier this summer, I had the honor to host @ITI_TechTweets board meeting at @Spotifyโs London office. We heard insights from global industry leaders & thoughtful views on tech leadership from Lord Peter Mandelson of @Global_Counsel, @GregClarkMP, & Matthew Palmer @USAinUK.
