Allow me to translate socialist to English.
When Mamdani says, "NYC faces a budget crisis," he means, "we ran out of other people's money."
When he says, "we need new revenue," he means, "we're going to tax people more."
But wait, he already "taxed the rich" straight out of the city. So, who does that leave him to tax now?
The next richest class. Then the one below that. And the one below that. It happens the same way every time.
Isn't socialism neat?
Ok people. Can we cure mice of specific types of cancers, especially blood borne/liver? Yes. Do many of the initial mice die within a few hours of initial dose? Do we eventually figure out a non-lethal dose? Not always, sometimes your immune system decides to be dumb and attack your own cells with the introduction of a foreign mRNA vaccine. If one day 50% of Americans had a form of liver cancer, could we cure them? Probably. Would the first few thousand who took the vaccine died? Almost definitely. Can I currently cure a Petri dish of human derived neurons from Alzheimer’s by just deleting gene sequences? Yes. Does it work in mice the same? No. Have I killed 20+ mice trying to figure out a dose and delivery vehicle? Yes. Am I close? Definitely. Will it take another few years to test in humans? Yes. Will the first humans who take the therapy die? Almost certainly. You can’t assume an animal model trial works the same way in humans. It actually almost always doesn’t. Humans are much much much more complex.

@PatrickHeizer Hope you keep us updated! Curious about heart and liver function. Also bone density. Not sure who you’ve already done this for a control before and after?
Well sure… you can effectively destroy the tumor in mice for some time now, but it’ll likely have heart failure, useless kidneys, liver damage, and likely 5 other cancer mutations. But yes, at least you would’ve solved one of the issues.😅 Science is hard. Hopefully the dude keeps us updated!
Well… you should consider that if the mRNA is shifted even slightly causing a single point mutation it would turn cells into a tumor fireball. On a positive note tho, you can practically cure any liver disease since all blood gets filtered through there so all protein products produced from the mRNA will take effect there with relatively high expressivity, different story for someone trying to cure cancer for example in the brain. Will likely cause more damage than good. All considered, I do think people that are given a deadly diagnosis should swing for the fences and try everything possible. Visiting a doctor every few months who definitely forgets you a couple hours after your visit doesn’t always lead to a solution.
@PatrickHeizer Yea I guess not many people actually understand genetic engineering. Like Alzheimer’s is solved in a Petri dish. You can brute force solve it in mice with a RNP direct injection. Much harder in a controlled human study. Sigh 😔
