Charlie Kirk isn’t mad that white Afrikaners are being denied refuge. He’s mad that the Episcopal Church won’t play along with his white Christian nationalist agenda.

The Episcopal Church has helped resettle refugees of every race and religion for decades. What it won’t do is participate in a refugee policy that only lets in white South Africans while slamming the door on Muslims, Christians, and political dissidents fleeing war and persecution.

That’s not justice. It’s apartheid in reverse, repackaged as immigration policy.

Kirk, who pushes the far-right Seven Mountain Mandate, doesn’t care about helping the vulnerable. He cares about using religion as a weapon to entrench white Christian power in government, media, and culture. That’s why he’s trying to twist a principled stand for global justice into some fake persecution complex about white people.

But the Episcopal Church made the right call. It refused to sell its moral integrity for a federal grant, and that terrifies people like Charlie, who’ve long since traded their cross for a flag.
