The 68th Idaho Legislature has been sworn in. As the feelings of excitement and nostalgia subside. I'm reminded how very blessed we are to serve the great people of ID. I have given my oath to protect the rights given by God, the US, and ID constitutions. I look forward to being our voice at the capital. Thank you again for this honor.

United States Secretary of the Interior
Dirk Kempthorne leaves behind a lifetime of service to the people of Idaho. The Idaho GOP join his family, especially his beloved wife Patricia, in mourning his loss.
Very grateful that my bill to protect Idaho's children from the harms of addictive social media was signed today by the Governor! This is the first bill of its kind in the U.S., and it tells social media companies that they can no longer get away with addicting our children.
HB929 Passed the senate.
To the Governor for signing! HB929..
This bill amends Idaho Code to add section 41-1854, prohibiting health carriers from preventing providers from offering discounted cash prices to insured individuals for health care services. It allows covered people to pay out-of-pocket at negotiated rates lower than the plan's negotiated allowed amount, with such payments counting toward deductibles and annual out-of-pocket maximums upon submission of required documentation. Providers must accept cash payments as full settlements.

The capital is hectic, loud, and demanding. But with legislation like this, I know firsthand it will help people. Cancer breaks you physically, mentally, and financially. This legislation will ensure IV or oral chemotherapy is available for the people in the fight.

Heartbreaking news Nampa Mayor Rick Hogaboam passed this evening. He was a friend and a great man. Sending prayers to his family in this trying time. We will miss you, friend. Hug your loved ones. Life is short.
The Directed Blood Product Transfusion bill is law!! The Idaho governor signed the bill guaranteeing right to decide what blood we receive when in need. Thank you to Rep @ChrisBruceID & Liz James of Blessed by His Blood for leading this. More medical freedom!

Sure looks to me like the giant fertilizer companies are price gouging farmers. Which drives farmers out of business and the price of food way up. Somebody needs to explain to them price gouging is illegal. So either stop or be investigated ๐
Rep. @ChrisBruceID not only serves in the House for District 23, Seat A, heโs also the president of the Kuna City Council. Last week he sat down to talk with us about the progress of the state budget, as well as some of his priority bills this session: allowing patients to provide their own or a directed donor's blood for transfusions, establishing parity in health insurance coverage for chemotherapy cancer treatment whether itโs administered intravenously or taken orally via a pill, putting guardrails around data center tax exemptions to protect Idaho taxpayers, and allowing patientsโ discounted cash payments to medical providers to count towards their insurance deductible.
