BREAKING: The delinquency rate on commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) for offices spiked to 10.4% in November, the highest since 2013.
The delinquency rate on office CMBS loans has soared by more than 5 TIMES over the last 2 years.
Delinquencies are now rising at a FASTER pace than during the 2008 Financial Crisis.
This puts the office CMBS delinquency rate on track to exceed a record of 10.7% seen in 2012.
Meanwhile, the overall US CMBS delinquency rate has risen from 4.6% to 6.4% over the last 12 months, the highest since 2020.
The commercial real estate crisis is accelerating.
