@synthwavedd I disagree that they underperform in real use. For their weight class each one has been great. And 3.7 max was great. But I agree there is something off about 3.8-max-preview.
Qwen3.8 is launching and going open-weight soon!🌐
With a massive 2.4T parameters, this model is continuously evolving. We believe it’s one of the most powerful model available today, compatible to leading frontier AI models , second only to Fable 5.
You don't have to wait to test it. Just now, the Qwen3.8-Max-Preview made its debut on Alibaba’s Token Plan, Qoder, and QoderWork. Be among the very first to try it out.
Can't wait to hear what you build. Stay tuned! 🚀

@ardaa_9@VirtuousGreen1@basaltlabs Yes but Basalt isn't turkroach. I just don't like how this is once again brought on the Chinese, it happened with V4 and that's enough.
@teortaxesTex Minimax biggest model is still smaller than Qwen, GLM, Kimi, Deepseek although one would be forgiven to think that is a hint itself. Let's see what happens.
@teortaxesTex This one reminds me of the Japanese one who tried to poison his colleague by putting chemicals on the water bottle. He claims he wasn't even trying to kill him just to make him feel bad lol.
@0x_lun@victor207755822 You mean the opposite? Da fuck? It's the casual users who are subzidizing the heavy users and quite literally getting robbed. Although with AI even casual users are causing loses to these companies (allegedly).
@Lunexalith@teortaxesTex@jietang I think he was sandbagging and it might be August. He didn't want to say it ofc because he didn't want to get into an argument w/ Elon.
@teortaxesTex Ironically, I’ve found Yandex to be less censored in some of my searches, with better top results. Its reverse image search can also outperform Google’s.
@clanker_ "the USG just restricted AI heavily, being on the complete opposite spectrum of china open sourcing everything but this will magically flip in the future"
ok dude
