Statement from Christopher Dyson, Campaign Manager for the Honourable Kerry-Lynne Findlay PC, KC — Leadership Campaign

VANCOUVER, B.C. — September 22, 2026 —

The Hon. Kerry-Lynne Findlay PC KC has resigned as Leader of the BC Conservative Party just over 90 days since the May 30, 2026 Leadership Election. I thank her for her service and congratulate our new Interim Leader, Lorne Doerkson, on his new position.

When I joined the team as the campaign manager, my candidate was in sixth place and had roughly 5–8% of the intended votes. When my team and I finished on May 30, the candidate won with 51% on the final ballot. I wish to thank the volunteers, the donors and the members who refused the long odds. They gave their evenings, their miles and their money when there was no guarantee of anything except a fight worth having. They believed in building British Columbia and on May 30 they proved themselves. That win belongs to them.

The campaign team won in no small part due to our detailed policy of massive expansion of trade, energy, transportation and industrial corridors between British Columbia and the rest of Canada. This vision was known as the Western Alliance and I am pleased to have developed that policy with the candidate. My vision post-election was also to unify the party with a welcoming approach that would connect existing conservatives and make new members feel included.

During the leadership campaign, I was led to believe that Ms. Findlay, a former federal cabinet minister and decorated KC lawyer, also shared my expansive view of the Party and the Province. Many of you also believed that as well.

After the win, Ms. Findlay and her then Chief of Staff decided to go in a different direction. In my view, it was a narrower one. The former Chief of Staff did not appear to understand the subtleties of the leadership campaign, the current complexion of our Party or the vision to bring people together instead of separating them. Our campaign was built on a wide coalition: long-time conservatives, new members, and people who had never before seen a place for themselves as conservative. After May 30, many of the people who built that coalition found themselves on the outside and most of the campaign team was among them. I believe that was a major mistake. I say so with regret rather than bitterness.

That unfortunate chapter is now closed but the future of our Party and Province is not - yet.

My ask of every supporter is to unify but also to understand that we are fighting for the future of the province for our children and their children. Put the Conservative Party of British Columbia back on the side of the people who sent it into public life in the first place. This province was not built by factions cutting each other down while a failing government kept the keys. It was built by people who still believe British Columbia can lead inside Confederation instead of mismanaging its own accelerating decline.

We have one opponent now: an incompetent and ideologically extreme NDP government that has driven this province into the ground and will do it again if we give them the time. Our deficits of $13.5 billion a year will take years or decades to recover from. A $1.3 billion "clerical" error is just one of many examples of poor governance. There is no time to waste. A pending election may be called at any time. Our task is to save British Columbia, win our place in government and transform our Province into a leading economy worthy of a G7 country.

This is exactly the kind of "thank you" that drives out people from campaign teams.
If you look at my posts, I certainly did give massive credit to KLF after the vote as to all of the volunteers. It's too bad the loons wrecked her shot at being Premier by botching up the management of her leadership. They should be ashamed of themselves for tanking what could have been a great thing. it was sheer incompetence and frankly, I am thankful I was sidelined from that mess.

Desperate to hold onto power, Eby thought he had a beautiful opportunity to cling to power.

The NDP know they should have called an election on Saturday. Now, it's a whole new ballgame.

Eby's panicked snap election is unprecedented in Canadian history for its shamelessness and desperation.

After years of the NDP, Eby's bet British Columbians won't see through his sad, last attempt for power. He got cornered into a writ he shouldn't have dropped.

I don't think Eby will be be pleased with his gamble come election day.

I put my business and practice aside to do this for absolutely no remuneration whatsoever. Despite that, I was sidelined after the campaign was won.
