@nikitabier …and users request specific solutions, which doesn’t help you understand the opportunity space, which may be much bigger than individual users can perceive. Again, those projects cost much less than $1M and saved way more than $1M. In short, this is terrible advice.
@nikitabier I have personally driven the reprioritization of 2 eng teams’ work based on user research I conducted, which I should add cost much less than $1M but saved well over $1M. They were using user comments, but didn’t get that vocal users aren’t representative…

I'm convinced the most important voices in UX are women of color, usually Black women. And we are losing them. We are losing the most vital voices, those who call for UX to live up to its promise, because we talk about inclusive human-centered design but we don't manifest it.
It says a lot about my own disengagement from twitter that I forgot to post my sobriety anniversary yesterday & getting laid off on 12/8. It makes me sad. I've learned so much from this site, laughed so much from this site, made friends through this site, and now... :shrug:
