@steelermark Just don’t base an entire league on Bristol’s performance. That would be like basing the entire EIHL off last years Fife side, not reflective of the league as a whole. Like in the EIHL, the NIHL has levels within the league itself.
@steelermark An FA cup comp would be pointless. The gap is too big. Having Flames V Bristol was always a weird fixture choice as Pitbulls look highly likely to finish bottom of the NIHL with their current squad.
@steelermark However have a bottom end EIHL team play a high end NIHL side and you should get a competitive pre season workout. Seahawks led away in Fife until past the halfway period. As it always would, the depth eventually told in the end. Elite teams, as they should, will always win.
😹😹😹 @CountBinface on BBC Breakfast:
“Maybe they’ve noticed Nigel is having a rather peculiar hissy fit and they’re keeping their powder dry for a second by-election when the parliamentary committee reports.”
🔥 Then the best bit:
“Vote Binface and you save the British taxpayer £380,000.” 😂
#ClactonElection 🗑️ 🔥
I remember the old P&O cup with the Stingray’s and Tilburg. Great to see them back in Hull, makes preseason much more interesting and exciting seeing teams from other European leagues.
𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲/𝟮𝟳 𝗣𝗥𝗘-𝗦𝗘𝗔𝗦𝗢𝗡 𝗙𝗜𝗫𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘𝗦 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗠𝗘𝗗 🦅
We'll kick things off on the road against the Fife Flyers before returning home for the EuroYorkshire Pre-Season Cup, where we'll welcome the Tilburg Trappers, Leeds Knights, and our very own Hull Jets to Hull Ice Arena.
A fantastic test ahead of the new campaign, and we can't wait to see the #SeahawksFamily back in the stands! 🙌

A quick update from us.
We’ve been relatively quiet since the close of last season. After a full on campaign, we wanted to take stock and see if the club had truly self-reflected.
Now July 1 is here and Xabi Alonso officially takes the reins, we think it’s the right time to make our position clear.
The club itself spoke about a period of self reflection. From where we’re standing, very little seems to have changed. The same people responsible for years of poor decision making are still leading football operations. That gives us little confidence that meaningful change is on the horizon.
Instead, accountability appears to have been placed almost entirely at the feet of the former manager. Yet this was the same club that derailed Strasbourg’s season by pursuing Liam Rosenior in January, only for him to go on to become the worst manager in Chelsea’s modern history before ending the season under the uninspiring Callum McFarlane. That is not the behaviour of a serious football institution.
We’ll allow the summer window to play out before making any final judgement. But the early signs suggest more project signings, a reluctance to value proven experience, and no obvious shift in recruitment philosophy. Meanwhile, our rivals continue to strengthen with established quality.
The issue has never been one manager or one transfer window. It’s the structure. It’s the people leading football operations.
Unless there is genuine accountability and meaningful structural change at football operations level, our concerns remain exactly the same.
We will continue to closely watch the direction of the club over the Summer and as a group, we remain committed to supporter action in the new season.
BluecoOut.
@HanClanSolo77 I’m not saying they won’t, but with the Brits they’ve lost I don’t have them as favourites. Owen will be great I’m sure, but there other top goalies in the league. Personally I’d still have Gospel over any import goalie as that allows 5 import outskaters which could be huge.
@BannersOTW I also think we will see more of this type of move in seasons to come. More and more now are coming to the NIHL with good major junior and Usports numbers, and we are now seeing more arrive with NCAA and ECHL experience. Can see the league being a stepping stone for some imports.
@BannersOTW Obviously his numbers last year were inflated as he must have been icing 25-30 mins a night for Phantoms. And he won’t tear the Elite apart. But depending on the role and how good Fife are, I can see him getting 10-15 goals next year. Solid pick up imo.
🚨Protest Update 🚨
Following discussions held over the weekend and after gaining feedback from supporters, we have decided not to proceed with our in-stadium demonstration at tomorrow’s match against Tottenham.
We wish to be very clear this is in no way a statement of intent to cease and desist with our efforts to restore the values and identity that made this club great. We are always trying to gauge the mood among supporters and demonstrate our frustrations when the time feels right, and on reflection, we wish to take a step back and review our position over the summer before taking further action.
While we have huge reservations about how much 'self reflection' has happened at the club when not one sporting director seems to have been held accountable for the failings of the past four seasons, we understand that as supporters, there will always be a glimmer of hope following a promising managerial hire like Xabi Alonso.
We feel supporters’ protest marches may have been influential in pushing the club to replace Liam Rosenior with someone more worthy of the role. However, we know Chelsea supporters are tired of this season and the loss of what a great feeling it should be following our club, and a demonstration at this point would not feel like the right timing.
It’s not just the protest marches that have made a difference and we are not trying to claim victory there. Wider supporter scrutiny has also played its role, with greater focus on financials and increased media attention.
It will take considerably more than one appropriate managerial hire for us to believe Blueco are suitable custodians of our club and huge question marks remain over their intentions and capability in a number of areas, including ticket prices, a potential new stadium, record financial losses, front-of-shirt sponsorship and respecting the club’s identity.
We’ll be keeping a close eye on developments across the summer. We’ll also be looking at how best we approach next season as we look to formalise the NotAProjectCFC group. As a fanbase, we weren’t ready or prepared for an ownership group of this nature and with question marks over some of those who currently hold positions to represent the fans, we believe a group who can directly hold the club to account with total independence is required. As such, NotAProjectCFC will be in touch in due course to gauge supporter views on further action.
For now, we wish everyone a happy and restful summer. UTC!
@clearlake My family were one of the first to step foot in stamford bridge, a legacy im proud of & you're tearing that legacy apart. Ive seen us at our worst & our best and now I'm witnessing complete destruction because you have no idea how to run a football club.

✍️ 'Chelsea purport to be going through a spell of “self-reflection” in the aftermath of Liam Rosenior’s sacking just 106 days into a 5½-year deal.
'It is the type of meaningless transatlantic PR speak on brand with this American-led omnishambles, demonstrating how the club has spiralled into discord just 10 months on from their cherished Club World Cup triumph.
'From top to bottom, the model is broken.'

It wasn’t Potter’s fault. It wasn’t Pochettino’s fault. It wasn’t Maresca’s fault. It isn’t Rosenior’s fault. People can blame coaches all they like, but the whole BlueCo/Chelsea project has been such a spectacular, hubristic failure

I don't believe it is hyperbolic to see a scenario in a few seasons whereby we are relegation threatened. Hierarchy are arrogant & clueless, even the good players have given up, standards on the floor & a financial situation round the corner which would spell sanctions.
@offy_bromley It’s by no means easy but equally given we are at home, I see no reason why we can’t beat Leeds by at least two tonight. Again beating Telford is far from a given but at home you’d fancy us. And beat tigers at home and they’re out and would have nothing to play for in the Sunday
Surprised at the negativity from Seahawks fans after last nights loss. Yes it’s gutting to lose so late on & an ot point would have been great. But beat Leeds by 2 goals tonight & win both against Tigers next week and we make Cov. Certainly not easy, but definitely doable. #nihl
