Therefore I run in such a way, as not without aim; I box in such a way, as not beating the air; but I discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified.
— 1 Corinthians 9:26-27, LSB
How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked,
Nor stand in the way of sinners,
Nor sit in the seat of scoffers!
But his delight is in the law of Yahweh,
And in His law he meditates day and night.
And he will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water,
Which yields its fruit in its season
And its leaf does not wither;
And in whatever he does, he prospers.
The wicked are not so,
But they are like chaff which the wind drives away.
Therefore the wicked will not rise in the judgment,
Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
For Yahweh knows the way of the righteous,
But the way of the wicked will perish.
— Psalm 1:1-6, LSB
As someone who has been a musician for over 20 years, mostly leading musical worship in churches around the ATL area/SE, let me say that it would be an HONOR to support and celebrate my nation by playing in D.C. for the 250th celebration.
So, if the "Freedom 250" celebration is looking for guitar players, singers, and/or both, I wholeheartedly and unapologetically volunteer to play!!
Someone asked me why the DOMINION Dive Watch is so expensive, and why buy that vs. a Seiko of Omega? This was my answer:
"The Dominion Dive watch is a luxury watch. It has 300 meters of water resistance, a sapphire crystal, 316L stainless steel, and a carbon fiber rotating bezel. It also features an ETA 2824-2 automatic Swiss movement, and the watch is assembled in the USA. Furthermore, it was designed in-house in the USA, and we built it to reflect the spirit of the American, Christian, Patriot.
Oh, and it also comes with a leather tool roll (made in Texas), a tool, a nylon strap, and better service than you will ever get from Omega, Seiko, or any other watch company for that matter."
Hello all!
For everyone wondering and asking, Darrell Harrison decided to deactivate his X account this morning.
Darrell is one of my closest friends and brothers so I figured I would create a post that would let everyone know why he chose to do it, that way there aren’t any rumors flying around.
This is something he has been mulling over and praying through for months. And in the Lord’s sovereignty and providence, he decided to do it last night.
He chose to do so to, and I quote, “redeem the time” he has by focusing more on pastoring, teaching, counseling, writing, family, etc.
A few things to note.
1. Nothing happened that would make him pull back. Darrell, many in his life, especially his bride and fellow shepherds, pays close attention to his life and teaching as to (by God’s grace) persevere in the things he’s given by our Lord to do (1 Timothy 4:16).
2. @podcast_just isn’t going ANYWHERE!
Please join me in praying for Darrell in this decision. Pray that the Lord would sustain him and return to him tenfold in immeasurable fruit as he toils and labors in the workmanship that He has given Darrell to complete for His glory and D’s good!
If you have any questions, please drop them below.
Thanks.
Press on! 👊🏼🙏🏼
Today was a stark reminder of everything we lost in the Global War on Terror.
The lives, the sacrifice, the families forever changed. It should never fade into background noise or become something we mention casually without feeling its weight, its cost, and what it took from real people.
History does not have to repeat itself, but it will if we allow complacency to take hold. We need vigilance, preparedness, and the willingness to confront terrorist threats early and directly before they grow into something we cannot control.
Please, do better by our fallen brothers and sisters.
