🚢 SHIPPING FRIDAY v47 — AI that uses your product like a user and documents it
One of the most painful parts of keeping docs accurate is onboarding screenshots.
Onboarding flows change constantly:
- new buttons
- new steps
- new empty states
- new auth screens
- new product tours
But the docs usually still show the version from a few launches ago.
That creates a very specific problem:
The written docs may still be roughly correct,
but the screenshots and flow-by-flow guidance are no longer trustworthy.
And once that trust breaks, the docs feel outdated even when most of the content is still useful.
So this week, we shipped a browser-driven docs workflow in Docsalot, supported by @Tiny_fish.
Now docsalot can:
- open the real product flow in a browser
- capture fresh onboarding snapshots
- use those images directly in the docs
What this unlocks for our customers:
You do not need to manually retake and re-upload onboarding screenshot every time the product shifts.
The docs workflow can now use your product like your customers would.
Take snapshots of the entire process,
and to keep onboarding docs aligned with what users would actually see.
Keeping onboarding docs visually accurate as the product evolves.

There’s a point where “hosted convenience” stops being convenience and starts being rent.
I hit that point with status page tools so I built #AWS hosted Uptime App to give folks cheaper more ownable option.

Most AI apps have one move. That’s not enough.
So I open-sourced Nash, an AI assistant app built on https://t.co/RubJY5YwXz with what I’d argue is the smartest memory system in the game.

Too many of them feel like punishment.
So I built and open-sourced CloserNotes — a voice-first CRM for people who live in conversations, not forms.
