Day 2 in Gulu: The LoCAL Facility momentum carries forward from the Moroto session, with strong participation and active engagement in the room.
Rwampara, Terego, Kyankwanzi, and Gulu districts have expressed commitment to embrace and implement the Facility.
Local government leaders and partners are in Gulu for the 3rd National LoCAL+ workshop, focused on strengthening climate financing & building resilience in communities affected by floods, drought, and other climate risks.
A high-level team from the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), and the Lives and Livelihoods Fund (LLF) is in 🇺🇬 as part of an appraisal mission for the second phase of the Local Economic Growth Support (LEGS) Project. The delegation visited Kyejonjo and Katakwi districts to assess the impact of LEGS I interventions on community livelihoods and service delivery. Their engagements with district leaders, project beneficiaries, and implementers provided valuable insights to inform the planned scale-up of the project from 17 to 55 districts. The #LEGS project introduced IVS to help beneficiary small-holder farmers to access high-quality agricultural inputs (seeds, livestock, farm equipment, etc) at affordable prices and on time.
