It's a working day and the #monorail is not working! It's already 06.05 with no train in sight! This is why there's so much dissatisfaction with public transport. People need to go to work early @anthonyloke start train services at 5.00am please.
Rushed back for my classes this morning only to have 6-7 years old kids tell me about the 9.9 Shopee sale & not to miss out on it. Best laugh I've had all week.
Waiting at the #monorail station, about a few minutes & I've memorised Ethan Hunt's motorbike jump off the cliff half a dozen times. Talk about advertisement overkill. #DeadReckoningPartOne
Rest in peace my boy. Your pain and suffering are now over. Run along and look for that list of friends I've given you. Have a great time up there. I will miss you terribly. I shall do my best to be good, I want to see you again. I miss you. I love you so much.
That's how fast it was. His eyes looking into mine will forever be burned into my memory, I couldn't even tell he was gone...until the Dr told me. It's only been 12 days, but it's as if a lifetime has been stolen from me.
The dr, a different one, asked me if I'm ready. I wasn't. I'm so fucking not ready. But I can't bear his suffering anymore, so I said yes. My boy kept his eyes at me and I didn't leave him. Until that last drop was done, they laid him down and it was done...
There's something like hope to see him struggle one last time to take a walk just before going into the vet for his final visit. He stayed brave the whole time. He never whimpered, never whined. He allowed us all to kiss him farewell and he stood looking at me.
Until the day he could longer walk, but was constantly trying to retch out whatever was causing him that discomfort, he would collapse in pain and breathlessness. I told him to hold on, he did. He only needed to hear our voices and he held on. What dog does that? He did.
My boy made no protest, no whine, no bark and not even any attempt to bite when he was in obvious pain. He stood brave, despite the pain, poking, prodding, squeezing...etc. He only needed to know I'm there and he's steady.
No one in that group called 'family' lifted a finger to even help, at least financially. All the help came from friends and strangers. God bless those who did. My partner cursed all those who prolonged his suffering.
I burnt through my savings trying to save this wonderful dog but no vet here could find out what's wrong! All were just pushing me to the other vets. Fucking useless vets in this goddamn country. One even suggested I come back in for another ultrasound. Seriously??
By day 12 with me & my partner, my poor boy's health deteriorated almost overnight. In total, we've seen 4 different vets, 2 different sets of Xrays, 2 ultrasounds and 2 rounds of acupuncture TCM for relief. No one could figure out the cause. He was suffering.
The universe heard me. I had enough time to give him all the most beautiful locations for him to walk on. He loved his walks, my sweet dog. He never had any toys, and any treats only came from me as no one else bothered. I loved him to bits.
No one informed me. No one! Not my parents, not my siblings, not neighbours! Every fucking one of them are culprits. Heartless!
In about 12 days after taking him out of that household, his condition deteriorated rather quickly.
My poor boy was suffering for almost a month & no one told me about it. If I hadn't come back due to the blackmail to remove my things, I wouldn't have known he was that sick. What a horrifying discovery! How could they let it go on for so long?!?
Loosing my dog is the most devastating thing that I've ever gone through in life. But that wasn't just the thing. He was the sweetest thing alive but lived with an abusive owner, my own mother. I regret not having taken him out way earlier.
Day 18 of RMO. Comments are starting to show the many ugly sides of people as they come under pressure of staying home too long. Instead of actively figuring out how to counter the negativity, they project it out to others in the form of anger & racism.
