@petergyang On a Raspberry Pi, Hermes much faster and stable. I appreciate Openclaw primarily designed for higher RAM devices, especially iOS. My experience on Pi was long delays starting the Openclaw gateway and more crashes. Switched to Hermes last week and not looked back. No crashes.

Life feels heavy because it is, and it’s supposed to. Something I wish someone older had said to me, as it would have saved me much angst, was that everyone feels the weight of existence and it’s often crushing. I know billionaires (real ones) who barely tolerate life. Beautiful people who are a slave to the crowd and desire being admired. You think someone else has it figured out, and it’s often a façade or false bravado. For this reason the old maxim goes, “Never get too close to your heroes.”

These are not new issues. Day 1 in Western Philosophy (before it got woke), was what is the good life? Aristotle, Epicurus, Plato, and of course you can read Buddha and the Tao and make your way to Christianity. All of these secular and religious traditions arouse because we humans are conscious animals who often feel stuck in bodies.

Thoughts and emotions spiral out of control as expectations are unmet or even grand goals become achieved and leave a feeling of, “Is this all there is?”

I personally believe in the redemption power of Christ, and accept that we are here to struggle with sin to sanctify our souls, leading to us living more ethical lives and restoring our connection with God.

Others believe differently and moralizing is not for me to do in this forum, and frankly is tedious when others do it.

In AA there’s a concept called “terminally unique,” and it arises when a person believes he or she so is unique that no one can save them. It is my personal belief that such despair is the creation of demons, you need not accept that as metaphysically true to see the trap many young men find themselves in.

You’re not broken beyond repair, and at the risk of being dismissive (not my intent), your problems are neither unique nor insurmountable.

The issues you face are human ones, and the prison you find yourself in is largely of your own architecture.

You can walk outside of it whenever you want.
