@Dejan_Kovacevic Not to mention, beyond the direct salary benefits from the rank and file players, there are other benefits that can be utilized such as a shorter path to FA or higher pre-arb pools that can still be utilized to make the deal even better for players
@garymo2007 Agree, not to mention it doesn’t have to be a hard cap and floor necessary like the NHL, there can be rollover rules like in the NFL or a soft upper cap in the NBA. There are creative solutions to a cap system but the MLBPA does not want to see the benefits the system provides
@_NoahHiles Gotta scour the waiver wire for some additional middle relief help now and hope Jones and O’Hearn return in good form but I genuinely think this is a pretty solid ball club all things considered
@_NoahHiles@BuccoTerritory Are there enough internal options to put together a consistently solid bullpen group? If not, do you believe that they will seek help externally (waiver wire/trade/FA)
If Nashville falls apart before the deadline, what about Ryan O Rilley as a potential deadline add? I’m sure he’d cost a decent amount but with the extra year on his deal maybe that scares some other contenders off?
