Aron Lundquist, owner of Diamond 7 Meats in Lloydminster, joined us to talk about the impact of provincial trade restrictions. He shared that if the barriers were removed, he could grow his business by 50% in The Lloydminster alone, helping not just his company, but others too.

His Diamond 7 Meats Food Bank Program is also affected. When farmers or ranchers donate a beef, Diamond 7 covers the processing costs. But since they’re based in Saskatchewan, they can only donate within the province or within Lloydminster city limits.

The Canadian victory at Vimy Ridge during WWI is often seen as a turning point in Canada's national identity. It is widely regarded as a defining moment for Canada as a nation.

The Battle of Vimy Ridge took place from April 9 to 12, 1917. Canadian forces, fighting together under a unified command for the first time, captured the strategically important ridge from German forces. Thousands of French and British soldiers had fallen attempting to capture the ridge. The Canadian victory was achieved through meticulous planning, innovative tactics, and the bravery of over 100,000 Canadian troops. The battle came at a high cost, with over 10,000 Canadian casualties, including nearly 3,600 killed.

The Vimy Memorial, located on Hill 145, the highest point of the ridge stands as a tribute to the 11,285 Canadians who died in France during WWI. The memorial features twin limestone pylons representing Canada and France, adorned with statues symbolizing themes such as sacrifice, mourning, and hope. The site also includes preserved trenches, tunnels, and cemeteries, offering visitors a poignant connection to the past.

So just looked into AB cattle price insurance you can lock in 850 @ $3.26. So $100 of feed for the next 4 months on these calves. Cattle business is working good.

@kperlik Sorta of, had a hopper bin that was damaged on the top so used one ring and hopper to drop into then auger up into a dry bin. The open hopper holds one batch from RB800. Then added a 3 phase 40hp motor for I could get rid of the pto.
