Into day 3 of the big rain. Apparently the "good 3 day rain" isn't a myth... Gauge says 3" the fields say more... A fair bit came sideways. The landlord at Stettler texted me late last night and was at 4.3".. we'll lose some acres but the rest should make up for it.. in theory anyways
@JSeimes You can unfold them under a 3 phase power line and not melt the tires off of it... And still use it.. problems don't show up for a year or so down the road.. gives you time to trade it that way
The only real drawback is hauling the volume in my mind. And when you have a major f up or leak with liquid, it's gone. No cleaning it up and worrying about getting rocks in your roller or tower.. as for being more corrosive I don't think so. All fert is corrosive. Our old drill looked like brand new when we traded it. Pressure test with water before filling and you're fine. A 3" poly pump and good hose is way cheaper than a belt conveyor.. the ability to blend off the trailer and add copper or other things easily is sure nice. Simplest way to do sectional I know.. most screw ups I've had are my fault. Being hailed out and forgetting to open or close a valve.. after you get soaked in fert or dump a bunch on the ground you do get smarter...
@Breckafarms Sure did have a nice theatre π
It's a hell of a story..
Right down to giving the tow truck driver shit for denting my hot rod after I got off my 24hr ..
@Breckafarms I actually drove mine from the farm to olds everyday during first year... Paid $600..
I may have also "unsuccessfully tried to out run the cops" in the same car.... Come home from the Peelers... Ha
