We also discussed my mission to bring the first military academy in the South- the #SpaceForceAcademy- to Orange County. The Future in Central FL is Bright: Sunshine *and* Starlight!

Although I'm a people person, there are times when campaigning is really hard. Any honest candidate for public office would admit that. Pressing time demands. Biased press. Petty comments. It can be discouraging. Sometimes even draining.

But then out of the blue comes great encouragement. An inspiration Bible verse outside. A kind note from a wonderful senior inside, accompanied by an unexpected contribution. A true blessing!

What could the future cityscape for Pine Hills look like? Interesting presentation yesterday by Commissioner Mike Scott & Orange County Planning Board's Tamara Johnson. Some beautiful renderings & some insightful comments from the residents. Good to learn more about this important and historic neighborhood. Looking forward to helping!

Happy Father's Day, friends! For #FathersDay I want to shout out to some of the best fathers I know. These leaders all have families of their own, but choose to also sow into our youth. They do it faithfully rain or shine, on the football field, in the classroom, from the pulpit, and even by sitting in a "dunk tank"! I've been blessed to serve alongside & learn from each of them.

Last week I had a wonderful meeting with the informed leaders of @OrlandoYIMBY. We covering issues of housing, transportation & urban development. We agreed on a lot, especially the opportunity represented by blighted strip malls which could be redeveloped across Orange County into multi-use centers with mixed income housing. Their excellent questions helped sharpen my thinking, especially about transportation options. I was grateful for their insights and the robust discussion!
