In a formal gesture of gratitude ,the East African Court of Justice (EACJ) @EACJCourt management team, led by the Acting Registrar and Court Administrator, @ChrisMutimuraW, today paid a courtesy visit to the EAC Secretary General, @SGNduva. The team expressed their appreciation to the SG for her outstanding support during the 3rd Annual Judicial Conference, held in Kigali, Rwanda, from 18–19 February 2025.

In recognition of her pivotal role in the conference’s success, the team presented a commemorative plaque to H.E. Nduva.

They further deliberated on the state of the region and on strengthening inter-organ collaboration.

H.E. Nduva reaffirmed her support to the EACJ and reiterated her commitment to continued collaboration.

🔹The 4th Annual EACJ Judicial Conference, which will bring together legal experts, policymakers, academics, media, and judicial officers to discuss key issues surrounding justice and governance in the region, is set to take place in Nairobi, Kenya, in early 2026.

The image is a great example of the Mercator effect, which happens because the Mercator projection stretches the map more and more as you move away from the equator.

This means places like Russia or northern Europe look much bigger than they really are, while areas near the equator, like Africa, actually get squished and look smaller—even though Africa is way bigger in real life.

So, on this map, Africa looks about the same width as Russia, but in reality, Africa is much larger—it's just the map making things look weird because it's trying to flatten a round Earth onto a rectangle.
