After the coup, the junta has deliberately and repeatedly targeted civilians with air strikes, in violation with the laws of war. From Feb2021 to Dec 2023, there were 1625 airstrikes, meaning an uninterrupted string of daily airstrikes on average.

It is claimed that SAC airstrikes in Hpet Kyat village, Ramree township, killed a child and injured one woman and one man on 02 April 2024.
A religious building and four houses were also reportedly damaged during the attack.
Myanmar Witness geolocated footage of the damaged buildings using Google Earth.

Exactly this. People (esp journalists) need to understand that alliances are fluid on ground and many fighters would fight under many different flags. Why is this happening? Because this is a people’s war against the junta. Not an ethnic conflict.
