I think the biggest issue was why wasn’t it called in real time. Refs are too scared to make a decision now and just let VAR take the heat. That gets called live and nobody says anything.

So many people losing their heads about that decision today. Was it a foul on Raya - yes. He was being pulled and had an arm over him stopping him catching it.
Did VAR take their time, yes, but it was a huge moment and fair play for making sure the decision was the right one.

Seen lots of comparisons to incidents of outfield playeds holding each other at corners this year - that’s been let go all year - but when it comes to keepers, pull the shirt or impede like that and it’s a foul.
