@kelseybogan A dueling display - like this librarian loved this book and this librarian hated it with their reasons would have been a much better idea. Like we all like different things. I really dislike this books we hate display
@clhubes It’s so so weird and antisocial to hate babies. You don’t have to have one or want to care for one but to hate them …. I just don’t trust anyone who hates babies on a personal level tbh
@etoilechat@AshleyGWinter Yes exactly. I find this type of push back against unmediated birth to be very paternalistic. I did a boatload of research and had the personal experience of my first epidural birth to decide to do my second birth unmedicated. Both births were right for me bc I decided.
@bandherbooks My husband was a tech in the er during college. His shoes came off in the hallway outside our apartment and his scrubs came off and immediately into the wash. He was washing hands as soon as he got inside. Occasionally he would go right into the shower with shoes in plastic
@abby_e_o There is a lot of research about this - it’s called PCIT special time and it works ! (Literally 5 minutes of focused play that is done in a very intentional way!) I know it sounds to good to be true but it’s not
@sarahhollowell Bring or send them easy to eat food. One hand kinda food. Don’t expect to hold baby. If you do wash hands/no kisses and Bering a sa fancy coffee and pastry with you for mom. Porch drops were best - I was overwhelmed but wanted to bond didn’t want visitors
@clhubes My biggest hate is her husband works for a R senator - like girl you love a walkable city and the public library…. Do you know what Rs think of those things?!
