@autorub@mrmikebones He seemed to do that to a lot of people who worked for/with him: moi aussi, including the early days in Paris on that film, meeting people soon having a delivery of suits from Thailand (?!)
If Russia hadn't promoted Farage Brexit would not have happened.
You don't get coverage like this on Russian TV without Kremlin approval. The Kremlin knew Farage would be a useful tool, and I am sure he has more than exceeded Russia's expectations.
Brexit was the direct result of Russian interference in our politics.
Watch Nigel Farage openly say we should privatise the NHS and move to an insurance-based system instead.
He really couldn’t care less about you or your health.
I’m fed up with politicians saying we need to “respect” the 2016 Brexit referendum result.
A decision by a narrow majority 10yrs ago, that turned out to be a costly mistake, does not have to be “respected”.
If a democracy cannot change its mind it ceases to be a democracy
The catastrophic reality of Brexit has exposed the entire project as a historical scam pushed by charlatans and traitors, on behalf of Moscow.
It has directly undermined European security and weakened the West to the absolute delight of Moscow, Beijing, and Washington DC.
The separation of the United Kingdom from the European continent has made both entities far more vulnerable to external threats. At a time when global stability requires absolute cohesion, this decision introduced needless fragmentation.
The geopolitical rewards of this blunder flow straight to Washington DC, Beijing, and Moscow. Russia and China look at a fractured Europe and see a continent that is much easier to manipulate, exploit, and destabilize because one of its strongest powers is isolated from its neighbors. The US sees the same, especially under Trump.
Boris Johnson and Nigel Farage will forever carry this betrayal as their core legacy. The United Kingdom must eventually rejoin the European Union to reclaim its economic sanity and strategic defense, a move that is becoming increasingly obvious to everyone
Starmer was hated. Says far more about the electorate than the man. Impossible to govern when people want welfare, triple lock, tax loopholes, NIMBYist vetoes, while also hating the low growth, high debt economy this entails. Starmer was a good man leading an ungovernable country
After a 14 year Tory circus where they turned Britain into a joke, finally the grown up was in the room.
It seems Brits have got so used to jokers they can’t recognise the real deal, aided and abetted by the worst hounding of a PM I’ve ever known.
Embarrassing 🙄
#Starmer
At least the British people now know where they stand. Even if they vote in a PM with a massive majority he or she will be forced from office if the UK media decide they don't like them.
They will push and undermine until Farage is in Number 10. It's what their owners want.
Well that marked the end of our brief two years as a serious country again. Well done everyone.
Back to vibes, shits and giggles it is.
Britain is done.
I am ashamed.
A democratically elected British Prime Minister has been driven from office by a relentless campaign of propaganda and misinformation; funded, amplified and perpetuated by foreign billionaires and elites whose interests bear zero resemblance to those of ordinary working people.
A noble gesture from an emotional Keir Starmer, entirely consistent with his conduct in office.
A truly sad day for British democracy.
His full resignation speech:
The reason why the UK is on its arse is not because of Keir Starmer.
A big reason is that too many people believed some bollocks on a bus 10 years ago.
Coming up to the 10 year anniversary of Putin’s purchase of the UK EU Referendum vote, the simplest way forward now could be for Parliament to vote to rescind May’s very questionable Notification of Article 50 - on the basis of Putin’s subversion.
The spectacle of the Labour Party tearing itself apart and trashing a leader/PM with a large parliamentary majority is astonishing and distressing in equal measure. After so many years out of power, it is recklessly irresponsible.
