Wow. On NPR, @gbrumfiel reports a Social Security official “copied the Social Security numbers, names and birthdays of over 300 million Americans to a private section of the agency's cloud.”
The source is a whistleblower, who is named: Charles Borges, SSN chief data officer.
“We have to be more of a tech company than we have ever been,” says @ajc editor Leroy Chapman on responding to AI and the latest wave of tech-fueled disruption to face the news industry. #PRSAGAConf#PR
Did #TheWheelOfTime kill the #Rhuidean episode or what? I’m grateful this franchise knows where it’s going, and it’s confident in that. They’ve done a great job of respecting the source and making it their own turning of the wheel.
I hate using this app, but the latest episode of #wheelOfTime is what I feel everyone has been waiting on. I can’t wait to see what they do with #Telaranrhiod.
Thrilled to be among the potential panels for @sxsw 2025!
I've been invited to moderate a talk with @PublicisSapient CMO @TeresaBarreira about the role of AI for challenger brands. Vote today in the annual SXSW PanelPicker to bring our talk to Texas!🤖🤠https://t.co/sz0YOs7OP2
I don’t understand the folks that say the news spoils the #Olympics.
If anything, I’m more excited to see USA gymnastics take gold knowing they crushed their routines. 🥇
@PRcarly I agree that a solid turn of phrase or insight that nobody is talking about (yet) can drive a solid news feature, but I’m getting caught up on the idea that “most PR is newsjacking.”
Don’t get me wrong: newsjacking has its place in the PR toolkit, but it’s not a strategy.
We are long overdue for @MARTAtransit infill stations.
Our city has grown but our network has lagged behind. This has the opportunity to support both transit access and economic development across our neighborhoods.
I was glad to hear this morning that some high schools are investing in media literacy, specifically to fight disinformation.
However, as AI becomes more sophisticated, it's not just kids that benefit from this type of training. We all need it. https://t.co/R8z3RQU6E8
I look at a lot of #tech companies' websites. The biggest mistake I see regularly from a #PR perspective? Not listing a press contact, or having an easy-to-find newsroom. These are PR 101.
This is so wild to me. And, yes, I’m a dinosaur who receives a print newspaper on Sundays.
Congrats on the new show and column @MonicaKPearson! What a long and fulfilling career you’ve had.
At first, I was a bit shocked that Noah Kahan was announced as a headliner for #ShakyKnees. Especially over Arcade Fire and Young the Giant — two of my all time favorites. Then I checked out his music, and I’m coming around.
