Poet (on a good day) Painter, Channel Crosser (on a better day). Born in Hull, so Proud Yorkshireman! Moved around a bit, live in Worthing (well it's my turn!).
@Anna_Dillon He may know a lot... but he obviously knows very little about visual communication and the power of ongoing brand awareness... why throw the baby out with the bathwater when you can have it grow and make new friends? After a career in marketing...just saying!
@davelee1968 So sorry to hear this Dave... May grief turn to happy memories... It does happen!... It did with my Ma & Pa, a Withernsea & Preston pair! CSx
@davelee1968 I have memories of a sideshow similar to this at Hull Fair in the 50s... It was what I can recall now as being early Damien Hurst - a load of jars and tanks of animals, foetuses and early-death beings floating in what I guess must have been formaldehyde.
@davelee1968 I did have an argument once whilst walking down 5th Avenue about which town was best (Withernsea or Bridlington) for fish & chips... but that was nothing compared to this - Spot On, Well done! I can see freedom of the city being bestowed... Get your sheep out and make ready!
@PoetDeanwilson6 I am in awe of your endeavour, and obviously the contacts in your address book! Well done to the Wilson/Lee collective! Chris Slade (proud son of 'With' & ex resident of 'Brid').
@davelee1968 If they'd shuffled everything along to the right and closed up the unnecessary word spacing between 'signs' and 'design' they'd have had room for the missing first word... "Shit". And that 'logo' is well dodgy!
@PoetDeanwilson6 Maybe you know... that Comet (effing big electrical store) started life on Hedon Road... all they did originally was charge up Accumulators and Batteries... My old man used to go there a lot - George Hollingbery was a friend.
@DavidHarpham77 It's all a question of 'the first can out of the stack' and the whole shit show comes tumbling down... So no, they won't do that. They'll bumble along, as ever, blaming everyone else but themselves until GE day - and lose big style! Voila! Welcome to opposition...
@OwdAlbert In his time he's been very good at colouring in! Most of his 'inspirations' and source material he traced from instant art books in the 1980s... but good at colouring in... and obviously marketing!
I forgot to record the proper title of this, engrossed as I was by the wet pavements. It's another Jonathan Stewardson of course, only this one actually makes me feel like my socks are getting damp. ๐
