Leaders Care.

Here are 3 takeaways for all coaches and leaders...

1. Show You Care: Dean Smith says that the most important thing for a leader is to genuinely care about the people they lead. Understanding and looking out for the well-being of the people on your team are what leading is all about.

2. Be Real: It's essential for leaders to be real, honest, and authentic. If you genuinely care, people can tell. But if you're pretending or not really caring, that comes across too. So, being yourself and genuinely caring about your team helps build trust.

3. Actions Speak Louder: Just saying you care isn't enough; your actions should show it. "I hear what you say, but trust what you do." Leaders need to do things that prove they care – like supporting their team, giving helpful feedback, and being invested in the success of each team member. When your caring is visible and felt, it makes a positive difference in the team.

It is critical to be genuine as a coach or leader. Be yourself. And make sure your players know how much you care.
