One of the main problems with referees is very few of them have ever played the game. To get to football league level you have to start reffing early to progress! People with the understanding required to referee will always choose to play rather than ref & then its too late!!!

@DHucks6 Agree that Ipswich were the better side but Hucks watch the penalty again - the player is already down when minimal contact occurs to the upper body!!!

@HACKETTREF @RKH4658 How about the fact that the referee didn't follow some simple rules of the game. Kicking the ball away to delay a re-start is a yellow card - this happened twice. The ball struck the referee leading to an Ipswich attack, should have been a drop ball awarded! Joke
