@XREALGames Got to be honest, the visuals don't look great in this one. Standalone has dropped standards a lot. Looks very similar to the interiors in ZC2, which are basic.
Physics look good π
@futureVrking To be honest I'm not, there has not been a game that's felt like home for me.
I think gunman contracts may be that because blood and truth has been my favourite experience so far.
I just want to have fun, roboquest and hellsweeper are both great games.
@FlareToga@Ben_Masnieres@IconikHybrid Coming as a VR newcomer, it may feel that way. As a VR gamer it's an annoyance and not in a good way.
We already have it in other games and we all turn it off, that's not a selling point, it's something to avoid doing.
See the pattern and recognise what's enjoyable for players
@Ben_Masnieres@IconikHybrid Most games have a vignette, which is helpful for motion sickness. That's great as an option for those who need it.
However the hood feels like a forced vignette that is intrusive and blocks our view, players don't like it and it's a known unlikeable experience in VR.
@QuestWithMatt I play 99% sitting with smooth turning and I play a lot. Then there's players who stand but don't want to physically turn, I reckon this makes up about 50% of the player base.
So the forced vingnette and no smooth turn is a monumental mess up
@LittleNights How can you release the game without smooth turning and a forced vignette?
That's truly amateur! You need to correct it immediately, I would be embarrassed if I was part of the little nightmares brand.
Takes 5 minutes of research to understand this is a basic VR feature
@bozoid I find sitting really immersive, VR perspective is enough. I don't need to stand to feel like I am, the only games where I really want to are boxing games.
I'm not knocking standing for others but smooth turning is such a basic VR feature,no game should ever ship without it.
@bozoid When I've stood all day teaching sport, sitting down feels much nicer.
I actually really dislike standing, besides feeling tired I find it annoying rather than immersive.
If I had a haptic vest and a treadmill I may find some enthusiasm!
@XREALGames Looking forward to play tests, feel like I helped a fair bit with ZC2 in playtesting and I really would like you to nail this.
Rooting for you with COVR
