Today will be our 41st sellout of the season, marking the first time the team has sold out all 41 games since Target Center’s inaugural season in 1990. Sincere THANK YOU to all 738,984 fans who created the best atmosphere and home court advantage in the league. Let’s go! 🐺💙
Big thank you to all of our fans and supporters who have been on this journey with us over the past two years.

I can taste the Hot Stuff Pizza right now. On this date, November 2nd 1990, the Timberwolves played and won their first NBA game at Target Center defeating the Dallas Mavericks 98-85 for the 90-91 Season/Home Opener. The sellout crowd of 19,006 cheered on Tony Campbell as he led the way with 24 points. Pooh Richardson had 15 assists to go with 11 points and 2 steals. Sam Mitchell scored 19 off the bench.
Even though the Wolves only won 29 games that season - 20 of the wins were at home. They ranked third in NBA attendance and pulled in 779,530 fans total for the 90-91 season.
Target Center’s original owners, Marv Wolfenson and Harvey Ratner, owned and operated the venue and the Minnesota Timberwolves for the first 5 years. In March of 1995, Harv and Marv sold the arena to the City of Minneapolis and Ogden Entertainment was brought on board to manage the facility. Currently, the facility is owned by the City of Minneapolis and managed privately by ASM Global. Target has been the naming rights partner of the arena since its opening.
@TargetCenterMN is the second-oldest arena in the NBA after Madison Square Garden, which was built in 1968.
Congrats to Joe Mauer on his induction into the @Twins HOF. No doubting that Joe’s on-field excellence will ultimately lead him to Cooperstown. Off the field, his class, respect for others & community outreach are equally legendary. Well played Mauer!!!
The end of a wonderful 5 year stint living in the US. Next stop 🇬🇧 and the @premierleague (again) for @NBCSportsSoccer in 🇺🇸 and #PLTV around the 🌍
Cal, also believe it might be the smallest stadium to ever grace the premier. Also the only ground where you walk thru someone’s back garden to get into the stadium.
Wow, wow, wow! Just an incredible story! LUTON TOWN are promoted to the Premier League!! Kenilworth Road (below) will host Salah, Haaland, De Bruyne & co! Some context… it was only in 2014, they were promoted to League 2!! Amazing 👏🏻👏🏻
