Another update: we just spent ten hours in A&E.

Had to return to hospital because when they gave my wife blood-thinning injections they didn't ask whether she had suffered a head injury in the last twenty-four hours, which can cause brain bleeds.

She had hit her head earlier in the day on the broken toilet door in the first hospital. She came home and collapsed on the floor. Had to stay in the recovery position, and suffered dizziness and a headache.

Seen by an African male nurse, who shouted at her during the triage, saying she was taking too long to explain what had happened.

I told him to stop shouting, calmly, because she couldn't get her words out. He said "You don't talk to me like that, you do that again and I'll make you wait outside" — then changed his tone and as we were walking out the door said "I wasn't shouting at you, if it seemed like I was."

Zero compassion. Unreasonable. Didn't understand the situation. Then had to take her temperature again because he did it wrong the first time. Atrocious.

Sat overnight in the waiting room, told there were only seven people in the queue, but only two doctors on staff. By the time we were seen, the consultant said there's no point scanning her because she's been in hospital for so long without severe symptoms that she's probably fine.

Would have taken them ten minutes to check and send us home, but they had us wait all night in uncomfortable chairs, without food, and the only updates being intermittent blood pressure checks.

She has to come back again tomorrow for a DVT scan for the clot in her leg.

The most absurd part: they were playing The Impossible (2012) in the waiting room, and we walked in just at the bit the mum thinks she's dying in hospital. Cheerful!

First thing i see on here today is a 9 year old girl had died from serious injuries at an industrial estate in Arbroath.

I will not jump to conclusions at this stage, but this is the is the same place that someone was filming groups of migrants a couple of weeks ago.

My wife just spent four hours waiting in Urgent Care at the nearest hospital, on the advice of the NHS Maternity Service, because she's showing signs of preeclampsia. Can lead to fatal blood clots. She's a high-risk pregnancy.

Seen by an African nurse who barely speaks English, and makes multiple spellings errors in her notes and hospital letter.

After four hours of waiting, she's seen by a doctor — who tells her to make her own way to another hospital to wait in the Accident & Emergency department to get tested there instead.

Comes home and calls the hospital, who transfers her to a maternity service, also staffed by an African woman with an indecipherable accent, totally indifferent to the urgency of the situation. Tells her to come into the hospital and wait.

We went to this same hospital months ago, when we thought she had miscarried. Took seven hours to see us, and after telling us twice we had probably lost the baby, they did an ultrasound which showed she was fine. Somehow, they managed to miss A SECOND BABY with the ultrasound, though.

So now she's in A&E for another few hours, either for a life-threatening condition that's getting worse while she waits, or for something a quick scan and an Aspirin prescription will fix in moments.

No wonder maternal mortality has increased.

The incompetence, inefficiency, waste, and negligence in NHS maternity services is astounding. It's not just strain on the system from demand: it's that frontline staff are not compassionate or qualified.

Nobody seems willing to criticise this because it's mean, but so many people who interact with NHS services have a bad story.

It doesn't have to be like this. I don't care what needs to change to make it work. Just make it fit for purpose.

She was sent to hospice to die. 😔
A 60-something woman from Nebraska. Stage 4 lung cancer. Both lungs. Bones. Inoperable.

Originally diagnosed in 2020. Chemo. Radiation. 18 months of remission.

Then it came back. Aggressive. Metastatic. Everywhere.

She tried Keytruda – didn't work. Then carboplatin and Alimta – toxicity after the first cycle.

Her oncologist said: "There's nothing left."

Hospice. That was the plan.

Her daughter refused to accept that.
She reached out to me. Desperate. Scared. Looking for anything.

We started a protocol right away:

Ivermectin – 1mg/kg/day

Fenbendazole – 888mg/day

Melatonin – 300mg/day

One month later… everything changed.
The oncologist called them in for a scan review.

He pointed to her shoulder – where a very large spot had been.

Then he said something that made her daughter's jaw drop:

"We're not putting her on hospice. We'll rescan in 3 months. Keep doing what you're doing."

Here's the kicker:
He never asked what she was taking.

Didn't care to find out what saved his patient from hospice.

Just told her to keep doing it.

That's the state of Oncology in 2025.
Some of the worst oncologists in the world. The same ones who got their 8th mRNA booster and still lecture you about how Ivermectin "doesn't work for cancer."

Meanwhile, a woman in Nebraska is still alive.

Because her daughter didn't give up.

Because she tried something different.

Because a cheap, repurposed drug gave her a second chance.

This all happened in the early hours of the morning

The attack happened in May but they've just been sentenced this week, the leader, Saleem has been sentenced to just 26 months in a young offenders institute!

A man won £1.7 MILLION playing blackjack online at 1am. The casino called the next morning to congratulate him. Then called back two days later to say there was a software glitch and they were keeping the money. They offered him £60,000 to stay quiet and sign a document promising never to talk about it. He said no.

– Andrew Green was a 54 year old from a small village in Lincolnshire England.

– Just after midnight on January 26 2018 he opened the Betfred app and started playing a blackjack game called Frankie Dettori's Magic Seven.

– He played for five and a half hours straight.

– When he finally stopped the screen showed £1,722,500.24 in winnings.

– He called Betfred. They congratulated him. Told him to call back after 9:30am to arrange collection.

– He went out that night and celebrated with his family. Spent £2,500 on dinner. He was already a millionaire in his head.

– Monday morning he called back. They said the win was so large it needed to be sent to the game provider Playtech for verification. Standard procedure they said.

– Wednesday Betfred called again. Playtech had found a software glitch. The win was void and he would not be paid.

– Their offer was £60,000 but on one condition. He had to sign a non-disclosure agreement promising never to discuss what had happened.

– He said no.

– He sued and the case went to the High Court in London.

– The judge ruled Betfred's terms and conditions were not transparent and not fair. They could not rely on them to withhold payment.

– Three years after he won the money the court ordered Betfred to pay the full £1.7 MILLION plus interest.

– Standing outside the High Court he said "The last three years have felt like hell on earth. I think Betfred have treated me abysmally."

– Betfred apologised for the delay.

– They never explained how many other players hit the same glitch and quietly accepted the £60,000.
