Went to get my fuel quota yesterday using the #Fuelpass. I was able to get only 18L but the guy at the shed asked if he could key in 20L saying you'll get another 20L tomorrow. I've heard this happen previously as well especially when you go to get fuel on Sundays.

@AshaneGunathil1 @kanchana_wij Yes agreed. My point was that the weekly quota to match the weekly demand so that the black market is eliminated. Some people I spoke to say that the 20L per week is not enough and they need to buy the rest from ඇදල විකුණන අය :/.
My weekly demand would be around 12L I would say

@munza14 I agree that we don't need to thank the politicians for doing their job, but thanking them doesn't cost us anything either. Probably one of the few ministers that I've seen actively engaging in issues in his/her domain in the recent past (last 10 years or so).

@SurenFernando I think they are collecting requirements for tuks to classify under 3 categories
1. Personal vehicles
2. Part time hires
3. Full time hires
And the fuel quota to be revised according to the category the Tuks fall under

How successful is the 1st work week of #nationalfuelpass QR system in #LKA?

Seen a few complaints about the #nationalfuelpass system; Consumers saying they are not able to get the full quota, but the full quota was keyed in by the fuel station.
Know your tank size, estimate how much fuel you need and ask for it!
Refunding unused quota is not practical!

6. Please stick to the stipulated quota even if you are able to go beyond it. Don't break the system.
7. Make sure that your QR is punched before you exit the shed.

As we prepare to obtain fuel using the #fuelpassqr system from tomorrow. Below are some useful tips.
1. Keep the QR ready as you enter the petrol shed itself.
2. A physical printout of 3" x 3"; non-laminated is preferable.

3. Showing the QR off the mobile screen and laminated ones reflect the sunlight and might cause issues.
4. Cracked tempered glass causes the QR being unable to read by the shed.
5. Please make sure you have the QR code of the relevant vehicle.

@gihanchanuka I would suggest a mix of compositions to follow because pumping fuel for 950+ vehicles is no easy task for anyone. Maybe we have different compositions for each day at different sheds so a consumer is most likely to get fuel if he/she go to the "correct" shed :)

@gihanchanuka This is a scenario where there is massive data streams coming into the database each minute. Whilst it is possible to display this information, there are some costs involved in rolling this out. If the data is made available to the sheds, I could assist in creating a dashboard

Update on Fuel Pass -

Businesses with multiple vehicles can now register all their vehicles with their Business Registration Number on Fuel Pass. Fuel requirements for machinery must be registered with the respective Divisonal Secretariats with the weekly fuel requirements.
