@Bryce_Estelle The director and the actress playing Nikki have both said that it's intentionally made ambiguous if Nikki was romantically interested in Bear. Why are people not getting this?
@FinalLychee Also, when I was a teen, my parents explicitly said "Do not speak with strangers.". Social media was used to speak with your family and friends only.
@blauereiter I always felt the size of Lockdown was pretty inconsistent throughout the movie but I just thought I was crazy. But when he fights Bumblebee a few minutes after this part, they look about the same size or Lockdown is just slightly larger. Yet here he's almost as tall as Optimus.
as a 29 year old i get it but at a certain point you gotta accept what happened and understand your adult life is not gonna look like it does in early 00s movies
Something that kind of mystifies me about the way people interact with stories these days is the insistence on literally every single character getting equal amounts of attention or plot importance regardless of their actual role in the story
Normalize “Confrontation & Communication”. There are certain things that need to be said or addressed. Nowadays everybody likes to confuse emotional repression with maturity.
Yknow some issues I have with discussions about redemption arcs on the internet,
People complain that a character “did something too bad so they don’t deserve redemption!”
When,
1. Redemption doesn’t equal forgiveness
2. The entire point of a villain redemption arc is someone trying to be a better person, which thus means they had to do bad things
It feels like they only like redemption arcs when the character wasn’t really that bad in the first place
there’s a level of casual cruelty that so many of yall have reached that is genuinely so ??????????? like? i’m scared of yall. miserable, mean, amoral, antisocial and altogether unlikable!!!!! just a bunch of cantankerous folks hellbent on having unpleasant interactions.
