Every year, I share this video of French caretakers who take sand from Omaha Beach in Normandy, and scrub them into the letters to give them the gold coloring.
They do this for all 9,386 US soldiers who died.
France also gave us this land as American soil. #MemorialDayWeekend

Millennials are the elite generation because they cranked out 12-page essays the night before they were due. No ChatGPT. No Claude. Just lo-fi beats playing in the background, Black coffee at midnight, footnotes that were somehow correct, and pure delusion. Grade was an A minus. Period.
Great to be in Houston today showing my support for Rep. @StanKitzmanTX, one of the Texas House’s most effective and trusted lawmakers. As a leading voice for Texas agriculture, Rep. Kitzman has delivered critical reforms that protect our farmers and ranchers and preserve the agricultural heritage that powers our state’s economy.
Stan’s leadership extends beyond agriculture—from securing the border, to increasing public school funding and teacher pay raises, to defending private property rights, to advancing solutions for Texas’ long-term water needs—Rep. Kitzman has played a key role in shaping policies that strengthen our industries, expand opportunity, and move more Texans toward prosperity.
The 89th Legislature was historic, and leaders like Rep. Kitzman are essential to building on that momentum next session. I’m excited to keep traveling the state and supporting members of the Texas House who are focused on building a stronger future for Texas.
The long wait is over: Real talk on the Charlie Kirk aftermath, @HKronberg on the race for US Senate in Texas & more. And for those who missed the Famous Producer Evan, he’s here as well on this debut episode available on all podcast apps #txlege https://t.co/9nDFsB4DhM
After long discussions last night between the Governor, Speaker, and me on THC, and continued hours of discussion today, we were not able to come to a resolution. I appreciate the effort by Gov. @GregAbbott_TX to find a solution. I thank Speaker Dustin @Burrows4TX and Republican House members for joining the Senate in passing a complete THC ban during the regular session. My position remains unchanged; the Senate and I are for a total THC ban.
After passing our remaining bills on the July 4th flooding, the Senate will adjourn Sine Die this evening. #txlege
