When Democrats don’t get their way, they hold service members’ paychecks and public safety hostage. Last fall, their hostage negotiation caused the longest government shutdown in U.S. history.
Ahead of the September 30th funding deadline, the Senate should do whatever is necessary to pass funding bills so we can avoid another Democrat shutdown.
Last week, I joined @trythatpodcast1 to discuss the work of the Ways and Means Committee and how it impacts the daily lives of all Americans.
My commitment to fighting for working families stems from my upbringing in a single wide trailer in Southeast Missouri. I grew up witnessing the importance of hard work and will never stop fighting for the hardworking men and women of this country.
Foreign adversaries are exploiting America's tax-exempt sector to fuel violence, unrest, and division across the nation — which is exactly why @WaysandMeansGOP is expanding our investigation into Neville Roy Singham's network of pro-CCP nonprofits.
We cannot sit idly by and allow foreign governments to weaponize our tax code to stir chaos in American communities.

Some of the largest hospital systems are using loopholes to claim “rural” status to access benefits meant for small, underserved, rural communities.
At New York-Presbyterian, eight campuses are classified this way...even in the middle of Manhattan.
There aren’t any farms on East 68th Street.
"A staggering 5.5 million workers have claimed the No Tax on Tips deduction this year so far, putting thousands of dollars back into the pockets of each of those families."

I enjoyed touring the local McDonald’s in Mountain Grove today, where I got the chance to serve customers and participate in a hands-on experience of their daily operations!
Through programs like Archways to Opportunity, McDonald’s is helping workers finish high school and earn a college degree. That’s real opportunity and upward mobility happening right here at the local level in places like Wright County.
The Working Families Tax Cuts included policies like the 20% small business deduction (199A) to help keep these locally owned restaurants strong. On top of that, education provisions like Section 127 make it easier for companies to invest in their employees without added tax burden.
It was an honor to see firsthand the hard work that goes into serving customers in Wright County!
Proud to support my good friend @SenMullin today during his confirmation hearing.
I know for a fact he will ensure DHS remains focused on protecting American lives, and I look forward to him being swiftly confirmed!
.@RepJasonSmith shares a story of a waitress in his district benefitting from @POTUS' No Tax on Tips: "Her tax refund was over $10,000... she has children. With the increased child deduction, these are things that drastically affected her bottom line."
The Working Families Tax Cuts is a win for the 8th District. Because of this law…
—> A family of 4 making $73,000 annually or less will owe ZERO in federal taxes
—> Wages are set to raise $3,400 per taxpayer
—> Over 100,000 full-time jobs are protected over time
The tax cuts in this law reward hard work, strengthen our economy, and ensure families in southeast and south central Missouri have opportunities to succeed.
Early this morning, the Trump Administration carried out a successful attack on the world’s largest state sponsor of terrorism, Iran.
Iran has financed terror networks around the globe and has been responsible for taking countless American lives. I’m glad the Trump Administration is taking their threats to the world seriously and is fighting against the regime that proudly calls for ‘Death to America’.
