@rochcommschools hasn’t mandated masks. @publichealthOC hasn’t mandated masks. @GovWhitmer, please prioritize the health and safety of the teachers and students of Michigan and mandate masks.
@Type1Tony Sending you hugs! Hang in there! I don’t “know” you, and you don’t “know” me, but my 12 year old asks me often “how’s Type1Tony?” You are appreciated!
@hmunstershoes You and your sister are so brave! I wish I had your strength! My pediatrician has offered the tests to my kiddos multiple times and I decline each time. If they ever turned out positive, I’d be so mad at myself.
Meals on Wheels called Dearborn PD for a welfare check of a 73yo man who wasn’t answering his door this morning. Dearborn PD was able to make contact with his sister who lives in Lansing and could provide a lock box code if necessary.
An elderly woman who lived around the corner from me recently died in her home and WEEKS went by before a welfare check was done. I can sit here and blame her sons for neglecting their mom but that won’t solve anything
Meals on Wheels is an example of how one service, delivering meals to seniors, can serve multiple purposes with each contributing to a better quality of life. When the elderly don’t live near family and don’t have someone regularly checking in, they’re often alone for long periods of time.
Services like Meals on Wheels establish a routine presence and ensures someone is checking-in with seniors on a regular basis. You cannot put a price tag on the peace of mind this offers seniors and their loved ones.
All across Michigan citizens are showing up in record numbers to vote early!
Before today, the record for early voting in a single day was 11K voters.
It’s barely noon and already 70K(!) have voted!!
Let’s go vote!
@erasofsam I get that AND I would encourage you to possibly expand your way of thinking of “what you can do for her.”Sometimes just calling and sitting with someone and not saying a word can mean a ton to someone. My mom battled breast cancer, and it was so hard. You got this!
@AmandasFakeID @PikeItUp If you feel confident in your ability to make smart changes with your basal/bolus rates, I’d say go for it. It’s no fun living with higher BSs, and you shouldn’t have to wait for your endo to green light the change if it’s going to improve your quality of life .
