The “Cornell Seven” is really about liberalism as practiced in the opening decades of the 21st century — celebrating libertine sexuality while infantilizing women.

Courageous youngsters.
“We believe that this collective frenzy is deeply unproductive, neglects any and all facts of the case which disagree with the ‘preferred’ narrative, and infantilizes women,” wrote juniors Nikos Mohammadi and Christina Ma.
My friend Clayton Smith ( @_NotYourRealDad), who founded CODA two years ago and recruited me to join before he graduated (I’ve since left), returns to @Sundial_CU.
Read him on how CODA — ostensibly dedicated to “open discourse” — has betrayed its mission.

Awesome to have Clay back in our pages.
On how the Columbia “Open Discourse” Alliance, which he founded, has betrayed its mission in condemning me and @Christina_ma4’s recent @Sundial_CU essay on the “Cornell 7” for “promot[ing] rape culture” & “work[ing] to silence survivors.”
I really hope to see more young men stand up for what they believe in.
It’s a mark of true masculinity to remain steadfast in one’s convictions. We must lead by example!
I have the utmost respect for @Nikos_Mohammadi for doing this with me.
"A lot of very left-leaning young women date very right-wing guys. I think its that... confidence and that conviction in their beliefs that makes a man masculine and attractive."

The Columbia Open Discourse Alliance (CODA) claims our article on the Cornell 7 case “promotes rape culture and works to silence survivors of sexual assault.”
I shared a deeply personal story about sexual trauma in that piece. I could just as easily argue that their hostile and insensitive statement contributes to an environment where women like me feel unsafe sharing their experiences.
They’re an “ally to all women” until one disagrees with the dominant narrative
I’m still curious as to how exactly our article and @shoshanaaufzien’s defense “perpetuates a hostile campus environment”
These are abstract trigger words, not appeals to reality
“By defending the initial publication, Aufzien’s essay perpetuates a hostile campus environment where survivors may feel more unsafe telling their stories.”
So, per CU Dems, you’re beyond the pale if you so much as defend the publication of our piece (your own views aside)?

Also very appreciative of the fact that @JonasYDu used the word “hysteria” — because that *is* what’s happening (including the men), and it’s not “sexist” or whatever to say so.
