From my recent guest article in @Sundial_CU.

The only way for CODA to get on the right track is for more courageous, more principled students to take the lead.

[Clayton Smith @_NotYourRealDad]

@Nikos_Mohammadi @TheDiscourseLab @Sundial_CU Have yet to hear anyone articulate *how* it supports “rape culture”

[Nikos Mohammadi @Nikos_Mohammadi]

ICYMI, Clayton Smith — former @Sundial_CU senior editor and founder of the Columbia Open Discourse Alliance — on the sad evolution of his brainchild. It’s now an organization that condemns, ehem, yours truly, for perpetuating “rape culture.”

@ValidScience I couldn’t agree more!

[Clayton Smith @_NotYourRealDad]

And CODA was *supposed to be* the organization that facilitated those debates.

[reason @reason]

College is *supposed to be* a place where students debate controversial topics.

[Clayton Smith @_NotYourRealDad]

@ValidScience Pretty much, but I’m not sure if they’re leftists so much as milquetoast wokes who just didn’t want to have their reputations, social lives, or positions threatened by controversy. They were like pro-open dialogue/free speech posers lol

How can America develop a healthier sexual culture? Do you think Nikos is on the right track?

@Nikos_Mohammadi @TheDiscourseLab @Christina_ma4 @Sundial_CU It was a pleasure!!

[Nikos Mohammadi @Nikos_Mohammadi]

Awesome to have Clay back in our pages.

On how the Columbia “Open Discourse” Alliance, which he founded, has betrayed its mission in condemning me and @Christina_ma4’s recent @Sundial_CU essay on the “Cornell 7” for “promot[ing] rape culture” & “work[ing] to silence survivors.”

[The Discourse Lab @TheDiscourseLab]

For many people, when they say “believe women” they mean “take everything women say on the subject of SA as gospel truth or we will crush your nuts with a brick”

[Christina Ma @Christina_ma4]

I really hope to see more young men stand up for what they believe in.

It’s a mark of true masculinity to remain steadfast in one’s convictions. We must lead by example!

I have the utmost respect for @Nikos_Mohammadi for doing this with me.

[Columbia Sundial @Sundial_CU]

I Founded CODA. It Has Betrayed Its Mission.

Former Sundial staff editor Clayton Smith returns to argue that the Columbia Open Discourse Alliance, which he founded, has abdicated its mission in condemning a recent Sundial essay on the “Cornell Seven.”

[Clayton Smith @_NotYourRealDad]

My friends at @Sundial_CU invited me to write a guest essay about how The Columbia Open Discourse Alliance (CODA) has fallen well short of it's founding principles. (I should know, I founded it!).

Do you go around demanding every single business in your town spell out how they benefit the community? Data centers spend money, employ people, and pay taxes (lots of taxes) just like any other business. Data center startups should be applauded, not relentlessly interrogated.

"A lot of very left-leaning young women date very right-wing guys. I think its that... confidence and that conviction in their beliefs that makes a man masculine and attractive."

@Nikos_Mohammadi lol just imagine how fucked up this would sound to the same people who are praising it if it was two men
