@saltyreigns Absolutely. Although inflation is already taxed in a number of ways. If you get a 'cost of living' pay rise - to help keep up with inflation - it is taxed. Pensions and benefits are increased every year to keep up with inflation - and they are taxed.

@saltyreigns Honestly don't think it will happen. They have enough problems with their coalition partners who are minor players. The large egos in each party will never allow anyone from the other party a senior role. They would never agree on anything from Day 1.

@OpinionistNZ @chrishipkins We had a recent encounter with NZHealth. Stepson needed help. 3 Sessions in ED - one for 13 hours - but once we got him into the system, the care has been fantastic. Yes, they have shortages, and are stretched. But wow - these people are amazing.
