@boyfailbstrivin@tomhwilliams23 Uruguay is too small to host a World Cup on its own. Hosting in Uruguay and Argentina would have represented the first World Cup final and homage to the Rioplatnese style created by both in the early years of their countries football
@LordArseneSaka@tomhwilliams23 I think you’ll find the fans prefer those old stadiums the World Cup. The Centenario, Estadio Monumental and the Bombanaro will be up to standard for sure and there are plenty others around Argentina will too. Nowadays it is about who pays the most these days
@Tommy_Oldham1 I don’t think they look stronger on paper Van Dijk at his peak performance may improve it a lot but it just doesn’t excite you like the great Dutch team did - the Brazil team does the same
@Tim_Vickery question for you are Brazil starting a decline in producing great players? They produce lots of good players but not lots of top top level players like other generations. Is it players going to Europe too early and get into a more European production path? Thoughts?
@maxrushden another slight fact check for Barry on the pod there are 2 ex Oldham players in the Haiti team Jonny Placide (the Haitian Higuita) and Duckens Nazon who play 2 past David Raya in a 2-2 draw at Ewood Park in 2018 #oafc
