@GretchenPSmith 15-20% is industry standard. A tip is a gratuity, & I totally understand they only earn a base rate far below a living wage. I do tip exceedingly well for excellent service. However, I refuse to pay any server a greater rate than I make. I drive a semi and I’m gone for weeks.
