Call me the friend that’s too woke but I don’t like how everyone has developed amnesia to the amount of horrid shit that people like Tricia Paytas, James Charles, and various others have done
@dammyyss_ this was definitely a cheesy kdrama and expected to drop this after ep 2 but I really liked their chemistry! This was also my first drama with Namkoong Min so ever since then I've been amazed at his acting!
@zyirancore Same back in the day where I didn't have unlimited data I would download a couple episodes so I had something to watch even without wifi. And it was all in HD I miss those times 😭
I'm a few years late on #LoveLiketheGalaxy and I just finished ep 32 and I've seen comments on people complaining about our FL ; our girl is literally like 15 or 16 I will support her on her rights and wrongs! Idc🤣
@EdoVibeQueen in the past people have mentioned that some productions write the next episodes as they go but atp have they not heard the same complaints about these kinds of tropes why do they keep doing this and expecting it to be ok...

A pretty significant scandal is unfolding right now involving Shogakukan, one of the biggest manga publishers in Japan.
CW: child abuse, grooming, extreme descriptions of abuse below.
Mangaka Shoichi Yamamoto, known for Daten Sakusen, was also a teacher at an art high school. In April 2016 he used his manga as a pretext to approach a 15 year old student, claiming he would teach her about the industry.
The abuse he subjected her to included forcing her to consume feces or smearing it on her face as punishment, writing degrading phrases like "Slave," "Pet," and "Teacher's Property" on her body in permanent marker and photographing it, forcing her to strip naked in public or wear toys in public spaces, and coercing her into sending him nude and obscene images via her phone.
The abuse continued even after she graduated in March 2019, with him continuing to demand images from her. She has stated it resulted in her developing severe PTSD and Dissociative Identity Disorder.
When Yamamoto was arrested, MangaONE quietly cancelled Daten Sakusen with virtually no public explanation. Then in 2021, an editor allegedly entered a group chat with Yamamoto and the victim and pushed for a ¥1.5 million (roughly $9,600 USD) settlement to bury the situation. But what's worse, in 2022 that same editor brought Yamamoto back under the pen name Hajime Ichiro to write Joujin Kamen, effectively shielding him from accountability and giving him a platform to continue his career as if nothing had happened.
Disturbingly, illustrator Eri Tsuruyoshi, who was paired with Yamamoto to work on the series, was reportedly never told who she was actually working with and was misled about his identity and history.
On February 20 2026, the Sapporo District Court ordered Yamamoto to pay ¥11 million (roughly $73,000 USD) in damages to the victim.
On February 27 2026, MangaONE finally made a public statement. They announced the suspension of all distribution of Yamamoto's work and halted shipments of his printed volumes. They acknowledged he should not have been rehired and issued apologies to the victim, readers, and Eri Tsuruyoshi. Shogakukan is attributing it to failures in their vetting and hiring process and claims there was no organizational intent behind the settlement involvement, stating the editor only joined the chat to advise both parties to seek legal counsel. They have also announced an internal investigation into the matter (meaning they will largely be investigating themselves)
In response, several prominent mangaka have publicly condemned Shogakukan's/Manga One's actions, particularly regarding an editor who reportedly covered up for Kazuaki Kurita. Eno Sumi (After God), Kamome Shirahama (Witch Hat Atelier), and ONE (One Punch Man, Mob Psycho 100) have all spoken out and some announced they are pulling their work from the MangaONE app.
Bombing Iran in the middle of negotiations, while starving Cuba, while genociding Palestinians, while threatening to invade Greenland… the US and Israel are the single greatest threat to humanity and it’s not even close. We are all forced to live in the nightmare they create.
One Punch Man and Mob Psycho 100 author “ONE” has released a statement following the child sexual abuse scandal involving Daten Sakusen mangaka Shouichi Yamamoto:
“I will not team up with people who cannot clearly take a strong stance condemning sexual abuse of minors. That should be obvious. I will wait for the parties involved to disclose the details. As for Shogakukan, if they take such action, I would like them to support it.”
One Punch Man illustrator Yusuke Murata has also retweeted ONE’s post.
People who take photos of the restaurant menu and post them in Google reviews are the superheroes of the middle class and the backbone of society. God bless them.
