Govt have known RAAC is unsafe since 2018

This impacts schools in my constituency, I've been in contact with Ministers & DFE over summer & again this morning

One days notice that they cannot open on Monday is completely unacceptable.

@socialsteve409 @implausibleblog They've only done ID work on 43% of schools built in that era, and already 9% of the buildings have RAAC. Extrapolating, ~4% of all schools will have it, affecting ~440,000 pupils (not mentioning staff & hospitals)

@srh_1984 @implausibleblog They were in power for 31/40 of the years when it was being used, and 6/6 of the years since it was found out it was dangerous. Don't think they were wrong to build with it, but as soon as they found out it was dangerous, they should have IMMEDIATELY done something.
