@alien_zeb In England & Wales we have privatised water, and look where that's left us: "Rivers are also struggling with the effects of this pollution with just 14% meeting good environmental standards and none reaching good chemical status"

Govt have known RAAC is unsafe since 2018
This impacts schools in my constituency, I've been in contact with Ministers & DFE over summer & again this morning
One days notice that they cannot open on Monday is completely unacceptable.
Once again Govt failing our communities👇
@Miazolam@naomigingold@justplainken Is it something that would have been picked up by tests/exams other than scans? Or was it something where "all the labs were normal"?
@AvaGrac46763969 @juliaisautistic "classed as having low needs" is the important thing. If society deems someone "low needs" (whether or not they actually are) that's what means they don't get as much support as they may need
There is no little to no support for autistic adults who are classed as having low support needs. This is problematic because they are often high maskers who are at an increased risk of experiencing poor mental health. #ActuallyAutistic
@willquince What are you doing to help the schools & other government buildings in Colchester complete their RAAC surveys and ensure appropriate measures are taken place?
@socialsteve409 @implausibleblog They've only done ID work on 43% of schools built in that era, and already 9% of the buildings have RAAC. Extrapolating, ~4% of all schools will have it, affecting ~440,000 pupils (not mentioning staff & hospitals)
@srh_1984@implausibleblog They were in power for 31/40 of the years when it was being used, and 6/6 of the years since it was found out it was dangerous. Don't think they were wrong to build with it, but as soon as they found out it was dangerous, they should have IMMEDIATELY done something.
