@DrSamiSchalk Hilda on Netflix used to be my go-to for rough days. Feel good show, main character is white, there is a person of color in the main trio of characters. Definitely not a traumatic show.
high femme implies the existence of low femme. goblin femme. under a bridge applying lip liner and screeching at the light femme. HOW DARE YOU PERCEIVE ME oo do those have pockets?!
If you feel "too soft" for the world, chronically overwhelmed, or always at breaking point, you might be neurodivergent in some way. Forcing yourself to meet neurotypical standards is always going to come at a cost. It's exhausting.
@my2ndsinglelife I've been picking up because I've been job searching and catching up on medical appointments, I'd rather not miss one of those calls
But in normal life? I never pick up, I just listen to the voicemail after when there is one
@roryreckons I call this productive procrastination. When I need to do a thing and don't want to I can't just sit and do nothing, and I can't do a leisure thing, so I often end up cleaning or doing a different important task I'd put off.
It does reduce the mental and physical noise around.
@SNeurotypicals I actually love this question because I work in mental health and I always answer this one with my hobbies and talk about self care, I appreciate showing my human side in an interview
@Potathoe44@BexTalksSex As somebody 25 years into living in NJ, I also have not encountered quicksand and have Feelings about how cartoons with quicksand prepared me for this world. I really thought it would be an issue to encounter.
Your ancestors would love that pizza or that cake you donโt feel allowed to eat. They would sip your soda like a delicate treat. They would marvel at the cheese and milk in your refrigerator. You do not have to deprive yourself. Itโs okay. Your ancestors would love for you to.
@hampucorn If you're looking for advice, (if not ignore this lol)
Cold helps me in the short term with brain fog. Glass of ice water, or wetting my face/neck and standing in front of an AC vent.
Itโs wild parents donโt think they are the issue at all. Your kid would rather pay 600-1000 dollars a month to get a apt or a house and not live with you for free for a few years. Really think about that
@barisanhantu I (adhd, maybe autistic) do a compliment sandwich.
Good thing, thing to improve, another good thing or validation of some sort.
If I do anything else neurotypicals get upset ๐ but I refuse to lie or not share my honest feelings about things.
@Azure_Husky As a motorcycle rider, this is my favorite thing! I love being able to introduce new folks to motorcycles and teach them how to be passenger and ride around a bit.
