ICE listed the case among 287(g) arrests in Tennessee. That program lets trained local officers perform specified immigration jobs under ICE direction.

As of September 9, Tennessee had 120 of those partnerships. Nationwide ICE has signed more than 2,400 of the agreements.

Tennessee 287(g) partners have made more than 1,300 arrests since January 20, 2025. They have logged 542 more encounters with aliens already in local custody.
