Moved here thinking I was escaping expensive states. No state income tax. Lower cost of living. Sunshine year round. Everyone made it sound like I’d finally get to keep more of my paycheck.

Then came the homeowners insurance renewal. Then the property taxes. Then the HOA fees. Then car insurance, groceries, utilities, rent, and every other expense that somehow costs more than expected.

You save money on state income taxes, but one insurance renewal can wipe out a huge chunk of those savings. And if you own a house, the property taxes and HOA fees never stop coming.

At this point, Florida isn’t “cheap.” It’s just an expensive state with better marketing.

Alright I know this will make some of you mad, but I got a Windows machine for the first time in 20 years so I can work on our @Gab__AI Windows app natively
-bombarded with 6 slop emails after making a Microsoft account
-random popups constantly
-stupid halloween theme in the main search nav bar
-onboarding took forever
-feels like I’m in 2006 again and literally nothing has improved in 20 years
-laptop has a number pad built in and thus a condensed left aligned keyboard that is annoying as heck and causes me to constantly mistype things
-Set up my agent and had it remove 36 bloatware apps and running garbage

This is the most jeet-coded experience possible how does anyone use this?
